Full accommodation information

When it comes to a Maldives holiday, you want a peaceful island, pristine beaches, exquisite food, plenty of activities, swimmable waves and amazing service. At The Residence Dhigurah, you get all this and more.

The resort comprises 173 luxe villas, either overwater or on the oceanfront, each with its own terrace and private pool. Inside, a cool colour palette is complemented by deluxe bathroom facilities like indoor and outdoor showers and oversized tubs, plus large windows all the better for surveying your photogenic surrounds through.

Youngsters from 3 to 12 can spend their holiday adventuring every day at Turtle Kids' Club or in the expert hands of the resort's babysitters, while the grown-ups take to the Spa by Clarins or spend afternoons of leisure at The Beach Club bar or lounging by the pool. While you're poolside, you'll be served complimentary ice lollies and fruit - perfect for cooling off from that Maldivian sun.

There are bikes and a buggy service available for you to explore the island and a selection of activities to take part in - including complimentary yoga, nature trails, island hopping, parasailing, kayaking and more. We particularly recommend the Castaway Island picnic experience for a proper taste of this Indian Ocean paradise.

Long Island

Next to Li Bai, this is the place to head for pre-dinner drinks or even a nightcap to enjoy with one of the famous Maldivian sunsets.

The resort has its own PADI 5-Star Diving Centre that offers classes for experienced and novice divers alike. Explore the house reef, and enjoy dhoni (Maldivian boat) trips out to other local dive sites like Nilandu Kandu and Ekkala Thila.

Other activities include the amazing sunset dolphin cruise, deep-sea fishing trips, night snorkelling, underwater digital photography courses, fluoro night dives and trips to local islands and villages.

Ask your Travel Specialist about picnics on the resort's Castaway Island. The resort is also connected to sister resort The Residence MaldivesFalhumaafushi by a one-kilometre long bridge.

In the Maldives, The Residence has installed an array of green measures to safeguard the environment, reduce emissions and minimise waste. A water bottling plant helps to replace plastic bottles with eco-friendly glass alternatives. By reducing the pollution of plastics, the resort also works to protect the local marine life and their habitats. On top of this, classic plastic straws are replaced with paper straws and take away food containers with appropriate aluminium boxes. Dhigurah is a beautiful island in the Maldives, so the resort aims to implement as many small but significant measures to limit the impact of emissions – with the view to make a big difference.
