At OZEN Life Maadhoo, around 75% of all waste is recycled and the remainder responsibly disposed of while the resort’s water bottling plant eliminates plastic-bottled water from the island. There are many other green practices and policies in practice, such as utilising roof space for solar panels and implementing a hybrid system to reduce the diesel consumption of generators. Stringent hygiene standards are followed to produce the highest quality water and awareness is maintained on the preservation of local culture. Not only that, but there are marine biologists on the island who help to look after the rich coral reef. And reef cleaning drives help the coral reef system flourish.
