Hotel information
Some 94 private beachfront and over-water villas all use traditional Maldivian architecture and are appointed with bespoke furnishings, local artefacts and wall-art for a real sense of place - everything you would come to expect from a Residence hotel.
The Spa by Clarins here – the first in the Maldives - is located over the water and overlooks the lagoon. It's perfect for relaxing, with six separate pavilions from where you can indulge in a wide selection of treatments.
There is an array of complimentary non-motorised watersports to enjoy and, being the Maldives, snorkelling amongst the stunning coral reefs is a 'must'. For those who wish to venture away from the resort's shores, island-hopping boat trips are also available upon request.
Dining here is a delight and when the sun sets, the place to unwind to the sounds of the waves is the Falhumaa restaurant where you can enjoy scrumptiously grilled specialities and the fresh catch of the day.

Sustainability Initiatives & Responsible Tourism
In the Maldives, The Residence has installed an array of green measures to safeguard the environment, reduce emissions and minimise waste. A water bottling plant helps to replace plastic bottles with eco-friendly glass alternatives. By reducing the pollution of plastics, the resort also works to protect the local marine life and their habitats. On top of this, classic plastic straws are replaced with paper straws and take away food containers with appropriate aluminium boxes. Falhumaafushi is a beautiful atoll in the Maldives, so the resort aims to implement as many small but significant measures to limit the impact of emissions – with the view to make a big difference.
