Caribbean Yacht Holidays
The Caribbean is one of the most popular all-year-round sailing destinations. Winter is considered high season (December through to April), but the temperatures do not change dramatically in the summer and the snorkelling and diving are even better from May through to August. The enchanting arc of islands we recommend for charter stretch from the Virgin Islands in the north to the Grenadines and Grenada in the south. The reliable trade winds make sailing here a pleasure.
Three main sailing areas are found in the Caribbean: the British Virgin Islands (BVI), the Windward Islands and the Leeward Islands. In the BVI there are over 60 unspoilt islands and cays to explore, all with local charm, while in the Windward Islands the sailing between islands is short and there are numerous exquisite and quiet anchorages. For diversity head to the Leeward Islands which are all very different; from the sophisticated restaurants and casinos in St Martin to exclusive shopping and dining in St Barths and splendid, deserted beaches on Barbuda and Antigua.
