Itinerary

Take an overnight flight from the UK to Tokyo.
Arrive in Tokyo and take a private transfer to your hotel for a three-night pre-cruise stay. Spend your time exploring the delightful capital city of Japan and it’s blend of ancient traditions with futuristic edge. Take in the sights of towering buildings framing the view of Mt Fuji in the distance, or take to the top of Tokyo’s highest buildings for a better view. Enjoy Tokyo’s highlights from Shibuya’s famed intersection and sushi restaurants to the culture-rich lantern-decorated temples.
Break away from Tokyo briefly for a short excursion packed with plenty of highlights. Voyage to the Hakone, otherwise known as the gateway to the magnificent Mt Fuji and its incredible national park. Explore the old town area, Moto-Hakone, perched on the lakeside. After a hearty lunch, cruise over to Lake Ashi, and then take a ropeway up the summit of Komagatake, for unbeatable views of the Japanese lands below.
Take a private transfer to the port to begin your voyage. Having experienced all that Tokyo has to offer, board the Silver Moon, and embark on your cruise around Japan to see its famed and bustling cities.
Kobe is a vibrant city, alive with stunning shrines, blossoming trees , and bustling streets. Its port history has made it a gastronomic success, renowned for its fresh seafood and sushi, and a multicultural society that diversifies each dish. Fine dine in the city’s incredible restaurants before visiting the Himeji Castle, just a short journey away.
Osaka, Japan’s third-biggest city is alive with neon lights and bustling Japanese restaurants. Immerse yourself in the culture with a day spent shopping in the cathedrals, indulge in flavourful foods and gaze at the shimmering temples. Plus, the streets are brimming with street-food options, so be sure to try the pufferfish, ginger and onion flavoured octopus, or the savoury Okonomiyaki pancakes.
Enjoy a guiltless day on the Pool Deck and Jacuzzi Area with the sweeping sea views unfolding in front of you. Lounge on your sunbed and soak up the rays with a pool attendant at your service. Bask in the magnificent views from the Observation Library while you sip on a beverage of your choice.
Hiroshima is a place of eye-opening history. Following devastating events in 1945, various memorials have been built across the city, including the Peace Memorial, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Children’s Peace Monument. Wander through the memorial gardens and reflect on the region’s history as you admire Japan’s peaceful scenery.
Nature and culture collide in Fukuoka, a small city packed with beautiful scenery, markets, temples, and stunning public parks. Visit the Yatai Food Stalls for authentic Japanese dishes; browse Canal City to pick up your souvenirs; and wander around the Fukuoka Castle Ruins for a dose of history.
Escape Japan for the day and explore the colourful coast of South Korea, Busan. Explore one of the world’s biggest and busiest ports in the world, and the lively city that borders the East Sea. Gaze at the panoramic scenery of the endless ocean and lush mountains over the dramatic cliff edge. Perhaps visit the Gamcheon Culture Village to see how local artists transformed makeshift homes from Korean War refugees into a vibrant village of colour.
Another place of intrigue for history fans, the main attraction in Nagasaki is the Atomic Bomb Museum, just two miles from the port. You can also take a boat ride out to the abandoned Hashima Island, a fascinating place to explore. Before heading back to the ship, be sure to take a stroll through Glover Garden, a gorgeous addition to the city.
Kagoshima is home to one of the world’s few active volcanoes, Sakurajima. With its highest peak sitting at 3,665ft above sea level, it’s quite a sight to behold. Similarly, Senganen Garden promises wonderful views, with ponds, gently-flowing streams, shrines, and bamboo groves serving as the perfect backdrop to your wandering.
Indulge in the delicious, locally inspired cocktails in the S.A.L.T Bar, or delve into culinary workshops hosted by S.A.L.T Lab. For more relaxed moments, spend time with loved ones and new friends in the Panorama Lounge and watch the world go by with a drink of your choice. If you’re a lover of art, you can enjoy the exciting exhibitions in the Art Café, showcasing paintings, sculptures and more.
Your final day brings an epic voyage to its conclusion. Transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK, but beforehand, perhaps opt for an excursion to visit Tokyo’s most iconic sights from Tokyo Skytree to the Imperial Palace and plenty more options to fill your last day.
