What’s it Like to Stay at Rosewood Little Dix Bay?

In June, our Marketing Communications Manager Sophie spent a few days perusing around Rosewood Little Dix Bay. Here are her thoughts:

Location

Rosewood Little Dix Bay is in Spanish Town in the British Virgin Islands, covering 500 acres of beautiful scenery. It’s a spacious, flora and fauna abundant resort, with plenty to explore. The resort was at 70% occupancy while I stayed, but you’d never know. There were very few guests on the beach and around the pool during the day, so there was plenty of space for everyone. You only saw lots of guests in the evenings at the restaurants, which created a buzzy atmosphere. It’s possible to walk to all places, although depending on where you’re staying on the resort, you may prefer to order a golf cart.”

Rosewood Little Dix Pool Suite

“Rosewood Little Dix Bay has a total of 42 cottages, 35 suites and four villas. I stayed in a One Bedroom Pool Suite. This really had the ‘wow’ factor and was a fantastic size, perfect for couples. The bedroom and living room were spacious, and the terrace had a good size pool, with sun loungers and a dining table too. I also had a walk-in wardrobe and small bar area.

One of my favourite features was the outdoor shower. This was huge and much bigger than the other outdoor showers at the resort.

The room was well located on the resort and meant I could comfortably walk to most of the facilities in five to ten minutes.”

Food

“Breakfast is served buffet style at the open-air Pavilion. There’s lots of choice, and an egg station! You order your eggs, then they’re delivered to your table. There’s also a waffle and pancake station, which was particularly popular with the group.

Overall, all the food I had at the resort was exceptional. This is a great resort for foodies. A lot of thought has gone into both the food and beverage menus.”

Facilities

“There’s an excellent size fitness area – you can tell it was created with professional athletes in mind! All the equipment is brand new following the renovation. There are also tennis courts at the resort, and there are daily clinics and private lessons available for clients. Excellent for clients who like to work out on holiday.

There is a mile long hiking trail around the resort, ideal for the morning time when it’s slightly cooler. It’s great way to appreciate the size of the resort and see more spectacular views. There are also complimentary bikes at the resort.

The Beach Drop was the best bit. A ‘beach drop’ is complimentary, the guests just need to pay for the picnic (if they’d like one). There are several beaches to choose from – you simply tell your butler what you’re looking for, i.e. beautiful views, great snorkelling, and they’ll choose the perfect one for you.”

Final Thoughts

“Overall, Rosewood Little Dix Bay is my new favourite resort in the Caribbean – I couldn’t find a single fault! This is a very scenic resort, with plenty of trees, greenery, and flowers, so perfect for guests who like a spacious environment to relax and wander in. The gardens are well maintained and make it a joy to walk around the resort. You even spot the odd chicken!”
