About me
I have been very passionate about travelling since I was working in a travel agency in 1995. Soon after, I embarked on an extraordinary round-the-world trip, lasting nine months and sparking my desire to keep working in the travel industry. Now, working for Inspiring Travel, I am able to help others create long-lasting memories around the world.
My travel specialism
After nine months of travelling the world, I am lucky to have visited Australia, New Zealand, the tropics of Fiji, Southeast Asia and various states across the USA including Las Vegas, Chicago and Toronto.
My most memorable travel experiences
I love to connect with nature, and when I visited Elephant Hills Tented Camp in Thailand, my dreams came true. Here, I had the breathtaking opportunity to get up close to the Asian elephant, where I was able to feed and clean them after playing in the mud bath.
Borneo was another unbelievable experience. Spotting the beautiful wild orangutans swinging amongst the trees of the rainforest was a special highlight of my travel experiences.
My favourite destination: Thailand
I would have to say Thailand is my favourite destination after backpacking here for the first time in 1999. I was astounded by the warmth of the friendly locals, the sumptuous cuisine, otherworldly hotels, and the abundant wildlife - all of which have been drawing me back since my first visit.
If you love nature and wildlife as much as me, you’ll love Thailand. Filled with lush rainforests, natural wonders and picture-perfect beaches, the country is bursting with captivating opportunities to create an unforgettable holiday.
My favourite hotel: Shinta Mani Wild
My favourite hotel is Shinta Mani Wild, Phnom Penh. This off-the-grid resort is immersed in the stunning nature of Cardamon, offering an intimate setting with just 15 luxury tents and the ultimate riverside views. I enjoyed dining on foods foraged from the rainforest, awe-inspiring wildlife walks and botany tours. This is the place to go if you’re a lover of connecting with nature, like me.
Be sure to not miss the chance to zip wire to the entrance of the resort, where your welcome arrival drink awaits you.

- Don’t over pack! Be sure to leave some space for your souvenirs and keepsakes
- Take plenty of pictures to show to friends and family
- Visit the tourist sites at a quieter time of day to escape the crowds
- Drink plenty of bottled water to keep you rehydrated and take plenty of sunscreen
