Travel Specialist

I’m passionate about combining my love of sport and travel to create holidays that truly excite and inspire every client.

About me

My travel career began at 18 with a ski season job as a bartender—an adventure that quickly grew into seven winter seasons and seven summers. Along the way, I worked as a chef, windsurfing and sailing instructor, and resort rep, but always returned to the bar, eventually working as a mixologist. Back in the UK, I moved into travel sales - starting with ski holidays, then luxury escapes around the Mediterranean. But it was the Indian Ocean that truly captured my heart. Now, I get to combine my love of travel with my lifelong passion for sport - it’s a match made in heaven.

I also love immersing myself in new cultures, trying local food, and always learning a bit of the language to connect with people wherever I go.

My travel specialism

The Maldives is a destination I know intimately - I've visited over 20 different islands, each offering its own unique charm. What draws me back time and again is the crystal-clear water and the incredible marine life that thrives just metres from the shore.

One memory I’ll treasure forever is dining at the underwater restaurant at Anantara Kihavah with my two-year-old son, watching his face light up as sharks, rays, turtles and vibrant fish swam past - it was truly magical. For me, barefoot luxury defines the Maldives: powder-soft sand, stunning beaches, and a serene pace of life. Snorkelling in warm, turquoise water just steps from your villa never gets old. Outside of the Indian Ocean, I love Europe - being half Spanish, I naturally have a soft spot for Spain. I also lived and worked in Greece, where I met and married my wife - so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

My most memorable travel experience

One of my most unforgettable moments was being in the Maldives with my son when he was just two years old. Watching his excitement as a baby shark swam past his feet in the shallows is a memory I’ll always treasure. Another standout experience was dining at the underwater restaurant at Anantara Kihavah - enjoying incredible food while turtles and sharks glided past the windows was nothing short of magical. You can even arrange for a diver to deliver a message or bottle from the seabed - making proposals or celebrations uniquely unforgettable.

My favourite destination: Maldives

The Maldives is, without doubt, my favourite destination. There’s nowhere else quite like it - the powder-soft sand, the vivid blues of the ocean, the exceptional service, and that castaway island feel where you can truly switch off (and never wear shoes!). I’ll never forget my first visit: arriving into the hustle and bustle of Malé, then stepping onto a boat and heading to a serene island paradise. From the moment you arrive at your resort, you’re treated like royalty. Many destinations promise luxury and seclusion, but for me, nowhere does it quite like the Maldives.

My favourite hotel: Anantara Kihavah Maldives Villas

Anantara Kihavah is my top pick - an exceptional resort that blends understated luxury with unique experiences. It has one of the best house reefs in the Maldives, an incredible underwater restaurant, and even an observatory for stargazing. I love cycling around the island, and they even provide baby seats, which is a lovely touch for families. Travelling with children is made so easy here, with thoughtful extras like nappies, baby toiletries, robes, and slippers already waiting in your villa. Dining underwater while watching turtles and sharks glide by is a memory I’ll never forget - it’s a place that truly has it all.

  • If travelling to the Maldives to pack a suncream which is “Reef Safe”, this ensures you are helping to keep the coral reef as healthy as possible.
