I've loved travel ever since I was little. I was born in Canada with an English mum, so I was travelling from a very early age. I always loved being at the airport and looking on the departure boards to so many different destinations. We moved to England permanently when I was 11, but I've continued to travel back to Canada to see family every summer since.

I undertook a degree in Tourism and Business Management at Chester University and completed a work placement with the ITC Travel group. When I graduated, I applied for a full-time position, and I've never looked back. I've been lucky enough to travel to some of the most beautiful places during my career with the Seychelles being one of my favourites; the beaches, the islands and the people, it truly is a one-of-a-kind destination.

Favourite Destination: Niagara Falls, Canada

Growing up just 30 minutes from Niagara Falls, it’s a place I spent a lot of my childhood. Now I'm older and live in the UK, I realise how lucky I was to have such a phenomenal place right on my doorstep. It's breathtakingly beautiful, with an abundance of activities for everyone. You can take the famous Maid of the Mist boat and walk behind the falls on a tour of the caves, or for the more thrill-seeking, you can even take a zipline! The neighbouring area of Niagara on the Lake is not as well known; it's a beautifully scenic town that's home to hundreds of wineries and quaint little shops, which is popular to locals year-round.

Favourite Hotel: Anantara Maia Luxury Resort & Spa, Seychelles

From the moment we arrived, I was absolutely stunned by this hotel. I stayed in a beach villa that had a small cut through straight onto the most beautiful beach. It already feels exclusive with only 30 villas, but when you check into your villa, you feel a million miles away from the rest of the world. They have a helipad at the hotel, which you can arrive at straight from the airport, a show-stopping way to start your holiday. Their villa hosts are available 24/7 and really take the experience to the next level; our host did a sundown cocktail hour where he made us signature cocktails in our villa bar while watching the sunset. They even set up a surprise beach dinner on our last evening, which was so memorable. It’s the small things that take the service to the next level.

Your Top Tips for Travellers

• Take time to log off. Put the phones away and have a digital detox, even for just an afternoon. You really take in your surroundings when there are no distractions.
• Take part in a ‘once in a lifetime experience’ while on holiday, whether it’s being taken by helicopter to the hotel or swimming with whale sharks or a hot air balloon at sunset. Move out of your comfort zone and take part in an experience that you can only have in that destination. Memories are everything, and you'll never forget the experience that you have.
