Arrive in Hanoi and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Overnight in Hanoi
Today is a full day exploring Hanoi. This morning see the city’s highlights including Ho Chi Minh's former residence, the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature, the Lake of Restored Sword, Ngoc Son Temple; this afternoon enjoy a cyclo tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, learn about traditional Vietnamese architecture and visit an ancient longhouse. Overnight in Hanoi
Leave Hanoi for Ninh Binh. Start with a leisurely 5km bike ride through paddy fields to Dong Tam Village. Here you can take part in lunch preparation with the locals before enjoying lunch with a family. After lunch take a sampan ride through the But Cave Complex to Thung Nham dock. Overnight in nearby Ninh Binh
Drive to Halong Bay where you board a junk for a cruise among the hundreds of islets of this magical World Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch and a swim. Drop anchor in the evening for an overnight stay among the dramatic limestone peaks. Overnight onboard
Spend the morning cruising through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay before returning to the wharf. Transfer to Hanoi airport for a short flight to Danang. Upon arrival, drive to Hoi An where you will be staying for two nights
Set off on a walking tour of Hoi An. This afternoon, visit one of Hoi An’s famous lantern workshops and learn how to make one yourself. End the day on a boat trip on the Thu Bon. Overnight in Hoi An
Depart for the ancient capital of Hue with a coastal drive via the Cloudy Pass. Upon arrival in Hue, visit the impressive Imperial Citadel, and later the poetic mausoleum of Emperor Tu Duc. Overnight in Hue
This morning enjoy a cruise on the Perfume River, visiting Thien Mu Pagoda on the riverbank. Then take a flight to Ho Chi Minh City. After being transferred to your hotel, the rest of your day is free at leisure. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Drive to Cai Be for a boat cruise on the Cai Be River. Observe the local merchants trading their produce from heavily laden vessels and visit a local village. After lunch at a local house, proceed to Binh Hoa Phuoc islet for a sampan ride before disembarking at Vinh Long for your drive onto Can Tho. Overnight in Can Tho
Enjoy a morning boat trip to the Cai Rang Floating Market - full of small boats delivering goods from all parts of the Mekong Delta. Continue cruising to the Ba Lang Canal, stopping at an orchard, before returning to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival, explore the city on a guided tour. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City
Your day is free until the transfer to the airport for your onward flight
