Lotte New York Palace has an interesting history, which is clear to see in its striking façade and interiors alike.

It was first built in 1882, as a collection of city mansions designed to emulate a neo-Renaissance style of architecture, but was eventually entrusted to the good hands of Lotte Hotels by the 21st century.

The resort group have well and truly enhanced this heritage building with sophisticated contemporary flair, evident in the Towers Block which teeters above the city skyline and encases hundreds of unquestionably luxurious guestrooms; a real treat for all who are lucky enough to stay here.

Much of the original features actually remain, including the gold-clad formal areas and stunning marble staircase, while views of St Patrick’s Cathedral right opposite are exploited wherever possible (including in the fitness centre).

Many rooms and suites also overlook this Midtown highlight, with the higher categories affording more privileged NYC vistas from their huge windows; the Towers Penthouse Suites are particularly impressive, spread across three floors with outdoor terraces to boot.

Lotte New York Palace also presents its guests with a variety of gourmet offerings, including a speakeasy bar, handsome lounge and the Villard Room which is where your delectable breakfast will be served. Rooms and suites are divided into two buildings: The Palace and The Towers, with the latter housed in the top 14 floors for superior views. No matter which accommodation type you go for, you’ll be treated to perks such as flat-screen TVs, Molton Brown toiletries, a minibar and wide windows that promise views of the city; we particularly love those that overlook the Cathedral.

Superior Room – The Palace

This 360sq ft room has the option of a king-size or two double beds, and also comes with a seating area.

Cathedral View Room – The Palace

Also at 360sq ft, though with views of the picturesque St Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Centre, choose between a king-size or two double beds here.

Premier Skyline View Room – The Palace

Exactly like the previous room category, with a 360sq ft floorplan plus views of St Patrick’s Cathedral and Rockefeller Centre; but perched on higher floors for more privileged vistas of the West Side. Choose between a king-size or two double beds.

Luxury Towers Room – The Towers

This Towers Room enjoys a floorplan of 465sq ft, choice of king-size or two queen-size beds, plus dazzling city views from the 41^st floor.

Towers Executive Suite – The Towers

Starring a king bedroom with separate lounge, plus views of the Cathedral and Rockefeller Centre, this 655sq ft suite is a gem.

Towers One Bedroom Suite – The Towers

At 1,075sq ft, this one-bedroom suite is very large indeed, complete with a huge living room and dining area, king bedroom, standalone tub in the bathroom and Cathedral views.

Towers Corner Suite – The Towers

Available with one or two bedrooms (1,210 and 1,665sq ft respectively), the Corner Suites are lavish affairs that offer king-size beds (twin queens in the second bedroom), a powder room, wet bar, butler’s pantry and standalone tub in the bathroom. A grand living room with dining area and wraparound windows completes the picture.

Towers Metropolitan Suite – The Towers

Stepping it up a notch are the art-adorned Metropolitan Suites, fitting two bedrooms (king and twin), a library, living room, dining area, pantry and bathtubs into a generous 3,500sq ft, with inspiring city views to boot.

Towers Three Bedroom Feature Suite – The Towers

A more classic look pervades this 3,600sq ft suite, thanks to Art Deco stylings and plush, gold drapes. Also featuring are three bedrooms (two with king-size beds, the other in a twin setup), living room, dining area, three bathrooms and views of the Cathedral.

Towers Royal Suite – The Towers

Get whisked away to the France of yesteryear in this gilded suite, which takes design cues from the palace of Versailles in Paris. Expect a boudoir unlike any other in the building, with silk-upholstered furniture, a drawing room and exquisite drapes, as well as a lounge, dining room and three bedrooms (one king and two twins).

Towers Triplex Suite – The Towers

This penthouse suite boasts three floors of luxury, spread across 5,000sq ft. You’ll be treated to a living room with grand piano, a king bedroom and two twins, private lift, terrace, an additional living room, fireplace and, of course, stunning views of New York through 18ft windows.

Champagne Suite – The Towers

Then, return for wine, beer or craft cocktails in the Gold Room Bar later in the day; anyone who loves a Bloody Mary need look no further, as there are four different types available here.
