The interior of this urban hotel is pleasingly organic; designed to bring the outside in using natural materials such as Narcado Quartzite stone, Belgian bluestone, reclaimed oak ceilings, preserved moss growing in niches, rustic copper bathroom fixtures, unique terrariums in each room and a three-storey living green facade on the hotel's exterior on 6th Avenue.
Couple this with the preservation of original industrial building features such as concrete ceilings and riveted steel beams and you have a wholly unique aesthetic.
 
A number of nature-inspired experiences can be enjoyed at 1 Hotel Central Park, including a daily Lobby Farmstand featuring produce and goods from local farmers and purveyors, and a monthly Dark Sky evening when lights in the hotel's public spaces are dimmed and replaced with evocative candlelight.
 
Each of the 229 guestrooms and suites features custom hemp blend-filled mattresses and 100% organic cotton sheets, yoga mats for in-room use, Brooklyn glass terrariums with live preserved plants and window benches that allow you to perch above Manhattan's streets.
Technology has not been forgotten either, each room features '1 Guide', the 1 Hotels app, loaded on an in-room Nexus device to control all aspects of your room, from the television to the temperature.
