Within five minutes you could find yourself at an art gallery, restaurant, café or theatre, or otherwise take a ten-minute drive to reach any of three much-loved theme parks: Warner Bros Movie World, Dreamworld or Wet ‘n’ Wild.
The InterContinental Sanctuary Cove itself is a stately resort comprising lush gardens, beautiful fountains and the grand Great House, with five restaurants, bars and cafés to choose from. The property is also prime for action and relaxation, boasting two golf courses, two outdoor swimming pools, a country club with a large lap pool, tennis courts, a gym and fitness classes, as well as a kids’ club for younger guests and a stretch of lagoon beach for those looking to unwind.

There’s a fantastic range of facilities here at InterContinental Sanctuary Cove, including a Country Club which has everything you need to stay fit and active while away: five tennis courts, a 25m heated lap pool, exercise classes, a gym, yoga and Pilates studio, spa and hair salon, plus a crèche for little ones. On top of this, the InterContinental features two golf courses – The Pines and The Palms – as well as two outdoor pools: the Terrace Pool, adjacent to the Pool House bar, and the saltwater Lagoon Pool, made to resemble a beach across one acre of land. While children will love splashing around here, they’ll also get the chance to enjoy adventures aplenty at the Planet Trekkers Kids’ Club, aimed at those between the ages of 4 and 12 with activities like torch safaris and golf buggy tours, plus games they can play indoors too.

Sanctuary Cove is a real playground for kids and adults alike, with the Marine Village just a couple of minutes away on foot. Explore the many restaurants, cafés, bars, shops, art galleries and the theatre here, or have a go at sailing the Gold Coast Broadwater. There are then three theme parks within a ten-minute drive – Warner Bros Movie World, Dreamworld and Wet ‘n’ Wild Water Park – not to mention two golf courses at the InterContinental Sanctuary Cove itself. Take your pick between The Palms and The Pines, the former designed by Ross Watson and the latter by Arnold Palmer, or have a go at both! On top of this, the resort is a big hit with children, not only with its kids’ club and two swimming pools, but also the Illusions Magic Show that takes place every weekend.
