Rovaniemi, the enchanting capital of Finnish Lapland, is the ultimate destination for a magical family holiday. Nestled within the Arctic Circle, this winter wonderland offers a rare combination of snowy landscapes, unique Lappish traditions, and exclusive, memorable experiences. This itinerary is perfectly suited to families seeking adventure, wonder, and the chance to create lasting memories in one of the world’s most magical settings.

From the moment you arrive by private jet, you’ll step straight into the spirit of Lapland. You’ll stay at the Arctic TreeHouse Hotel, where modern comfort meets breathtaking Arctic views. Each room is designed for families, combining cosy interiors with large windows overlooking the snow-covered forest, boasting exceptional opportunities to sport the northern lights from your own bed. You can relax in comfort or enjoy quiet moments while the children play.

Your holiday is made even more special with your very own Guiding Elf, who will be with you throughout your stay. The Guiding Elf entertains the children daily with games, storytelling, and hands-on activities, giving you time to relax or join in the fun.

You can take part in private activities such as husky sledding, reindeer rides, and snowmobiling across pristine winter landscapes. The children will enjoy meeting Santa Claus at his secret Toy Factory and receiving visits from their Guiding Elf at the hotel. Every activity is safe, engaging, and tailored for families.

In the evenings, you can watch the northern lights, explore Lappish culture through local experiences, and move between activities easily with private transfers and a dedicated host. With the 'Guiding Elf' keeping the children entertained, your stay is seamless, enjoyable, and full of magical moments.

Itinerary

Arrive in Rovaniemi by private jet and transfer to your hotel to settle in. After your first dinner, head out into the surrounding wilderness in search of the northern lights. Your guide monitors conditions and takes you to the best viewing spot, away from artificial light. With clear skies, you can watch the aurora move across the Arctic sky in a quiet, remote setting.
Spend the day discovering two traditional Arctic ways of life. Visit a small, family-run husky farm by a frozen lake, where you can meet the dogs and learn how they are raised and trained. After lunch, continue to a reindeer farm in Sierijärvi, where you can enjoy a short sleigh ride and learn how reindeer are trained and cared for. Your Guiding Elf joins you throughout the day, keeping the children engaged with games and stories.
Head out on a gentle snowmobiling experience across frozen lake routes, an easy introduction to driving in Arctic conditions. You’ll stop along the way to take in the views and learn more about the surrounding landscape. In the afternoon, you can enjoy tobogganing near your hotel, with space to play in the snow-covered forest. Your Guiding Elf will be happy to join in, keeping the children entertained. If you prefer, you can visit a nearby snow park for beginner-friendly skiing and tubing.
Choose between a private snowshoeing or Nordic skiing trip through Lapland’s national park. Snowshoeing lets you explore deep snowy landscapes, enjoy fresh air, and experience peaceful exercise, with a hot drink and snack break in the winter scenery. Nordic skiing, Finland’s national sport, offers a gentle but invigorating way to see the forested landscape. In the afternoon, visit Santa’s secret Toy Factory, meet elves, discover their woodcraft and magical creations, and share in the joy of Christmas with Santa himself.
It’s time to say goodbye to Finnish Lapland. After breakfast, your private transfer will take you to the airport for your onward journey.
