Arrive Perth early afternoon where you will be met and transferred to your city centre hotel
Fremantle
You will discover and visit many of Perth’s and Fremantle’s main attractions on this self-guided tour. Visit the Western Australia Cricket Ground, take in the city views from Kings Park Botanical Gardens and pass through Perth’s affluent suburbs via Cottesloe Beach, before exploring historic Fremantle on the city tram. Return to Perth on a scenic, late-afternoon cruise along the Swan River.
Margaret River
Today’s tour will take you south of Perth to the beautiful wine growing regions of the Margaret River. You will visit one of the area’s oldest breweries, enjoying a gourmet lunch platter of local produce with complimentary beer and cider tastings. Take a tour underground and explore the vast chambers of Mammoth Cave, before exploring Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse and the enormous towering Karri Trees of Boranup Forest.
Enjoy a day of leisure in Perth, visiting some of the city’s trendy neighbourhoods, Northbridge or several galleries and museums. If you’d prefer to relax for a day, head to one of the sandy city beaches - such as Scarborough, Cottesloe or Swanbourne.
Today, you will tour north of Perth to the coastal fishing town of Cervantes. A stop will be made at Sorrento Quay Hillarys Boat Harbour, before continuing to Lancelin town. After lunch, explore Nambung National Park, where you are free to wander through the mystical Pinnacles Desert.
A firm favourite of Perth visitors and locals alike is a day trip to the remote Rottnest Island. Take the ferry from Barrack Street Jetty, along the Swan River, and out to sea towards the island. On arrival, your bike and helmet will be ready for you to explore at your own pace. Look out for the unique furry marsupial resident, the quokka, before discovering the island’s many secluded bays and beaches, from which you can snorkel in the crystal-clear waters.
Day eight is the final full day for you to enjoy this beautiful Indian Ocean city. Perhaps it’s time for some last-minute shopping? Alternatively, try your luck at the Crown Casino, or add an optional cruise along the Upper Swan River, visiting a premier vineyard where you can enjoy tastings and a gourmet lunch.
