5. Hotel Arts – Barcelona, Spain

In the cosmopolitan capital of Catalonia, Barcelona, there exists a seafood restaurant so exceptional it has received not one, but two Michelin stars.

Sit in one of three dining rooms, where ‘Victorian pub’ meets ‘old New York restaurant’, for the most refined slap-up meal of your life. The first Chinese restaurant in the U.S. to be awarded a prestigious Michelin star, Wing Lei is an institution in Las Vegas. It’s part of the Wynn Las Vegas hotel, located at the north end of the strip, and showcases the ingenious flavours of Cantonese, Shanghai, and Szechuan cuisine in a fine-dining arrangement.

Led by world-class executive chef, Ming Yu, the menu features mouth-watering favourites such as Alaskan king crab salad, garden dim sum, and garlic beef tenderloin. However, most foodies that make the pilgrimage to Wing Lei do so to sample Yu’s famous Peking duck, which is served tableside for an added bit of theatre.

8. Capella Bangkok – Thailand

A recent addition to the Michelin guide, Dubai has had the spotlight shined on its restaurants with eleven of them making the cut. The ultra-luxurious beachfront oasis, One&Only The Palm, is home to one such establishment: STAY by Yannick Alléno.

Awarded an impressive two stars straight out the gate, this stylish restaurant is the brainchild of Yannick Alléno, where he serves up his playful take on high French cuisine. With an ever-evolving seasonal menu, Alléno intensifies classic French flavours using modern culinary techniques and invites diners into his world with an eight-course tasting menu of his personal recipes.

10. Four Seasons Hotel Sydney – Australia

With incredible views over Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney is a stylish affair situated in the heart of this buzzing Australian city.

In 2021, the hotel’s restaurant, Mode Kitchen & Bar, won Australia’s equivalent to the Michelin star, the ‘Chef Hat’, for the third consecutive year in a row.
