This famous highway runs across Maui’s rain-forested north shore, where the stunning beaches are known as a paradise for surfers. Cross over 50 bridges and spot waterfalls on the way to the beautiful Wainapanapa State Park. This mesmerising spot is home to freshwater streams, sparkling pools and an array of geological formations such as sea stacks, blowholes and natural arches. Explore the natural wonders of the park - perhaps even stopping for a swim in the waterfall pool if weather permits - before heading back to the road. Your vehicle travels at 20mph to allow you plenty of time for photographs and to absorb the incredible sights. You'll also stop for a few treats, including a picnic lunch in Hanna, where you can take a guided tour around the historic town.
