If you are a family of wildlife enthusiasts, then you’re sure to find sights to thrill you on holiday here. Majestic Asian Elephants are common all over Thailand, but to see them up close we recommend encountering them in their natural rainforest environment. In Chiang Mai you can take the opportunity to try a night safari, whether by open-air tram or on a trekking route through the lakes and trees. There is a wealth of magnificent animals to spot.

If you’re by the coastline, there’s plenty of underwater life to be seen, as well as watersports galore to try your hand it. In Phuket a popular beach is Patong where you can sail and surf surrounded by a lively atmosphere. Most luxury Thailand resorts provide some complimentary non-motorised watersports, with many even having sailing academies or scuba diving lessons for teens and snorkelling sessions at their kids’ clubs too.

Wherever you go, food is an absolute highlight with delicious smells wafting from street stalls and a host of child-friendly options at your chosen hotel. The local cuisine is so good that we think even fussy eaters might be converted by the end of a family holiday here!
