Escape the harsh winter in the UK with this 12-night cruise through the Middle East. Travel from Dubai’s alluring atmosphere to Muscat’s historical city, docking at Abu Dahbi, Sir Bani Yas, Doha, and Khasab in between. Combined with a three-night pre cruise stay in the heart of Dubai, and optional full-day shore excursions, this cruise itinerary makes for a great Middle Eastern tour.

Between your unique excursions, you’ll be cutting the waves aboard Windstar’s luxury yacht, Star Legend. With Windstar, you’ll be treated with bespoke activities and amenities from the beginning to the end of your voyage. In between exploring, spend your time indulging in the world-class restaurants on board to taste the local flavours in Amphora, Candles, and Veranda and more. In their own words, you don’t come all this way for a burger, so make sure to try the cuisines of your destinations! When you’re not feasting, take a swim in the outdoor pool or dip into the whirlpool. Of course, there is a spa for you to recharge with some treatments after a long day exploring. Itinerary

Embark on your overnight flight from the UK to Dubai. When you arrive, your transfer will take you to your hotel for a three-night stay.
Spend your day in Dubai, immersing yourself in the outstanding sport culture. Take to the sand dunes for camel races or head indoors to the indoor ski mountain with Ski Dubai. In between, take in their iconic architecture, including the tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa. Visit the palm tree-shaped archipelagos that are made up of over 200 islands. Explore all of Dubai’s wonders during your three-night pre-cruise stay, and on your last day you’ll disembark from the port at 5pm.
Arrive in Abu Dhabi at 7am after a night at sea. Here, you’ll spend the next two days in the heart of the United Arab Emirates capital. Rich in history, Abu Dhabi is home to rich oil fields both on land and in the Persian Gulf, discovered in 1958. Be sure to learn all about the history in between visiting iconic sights from Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Centre to Louvre Abu Dhabi Art Museum and much more. Be at the port for 4pm for another magical night of cruising under a blanket of stars.
Step back onto land at 8am where you’ll have the full day to explore the deep ancient history of Sir Bani Yas. The island is renowned for its archaeological sites, geological features, and its famed Arabian Wildlife Safari Park that is home to over 16,000 animals from giraffes and cheaters. You have until 3pm to fill your day with unique experience across this island before being back at sea aboard Star Legend.
Step off Star Legend into Qatar’s modern capital, Doha. The city is home to incredible skyscrapers, mosques carved with intricate details, shopping malls and the Doha promenade, Corniche, that runs for four miles. The city is brimming with unique experiences for a bespoke day exploring, from bartering in the narrow streets of Qatar’s oldest souk to delving into the Museum of Islamic Art.
Spend today sailing the Arabian Sea with exceptional amenities and service provided by Windstar Cruises. Dine in Windstar’s world-class Candles Restaurant, Veranda, or Amphora, offering locally inspired dishes for you taste the flavours of Emirates, Qatar, and Oman. If you’re looking for some down time, snuggle up in your complimentary robes and slippers, and request any movie you like. You also have access to the pool and hot tub, so throw on your sun cream and take a swim.
Otherwise known as the ‘Norway of Arabia’, Khasab is nestled amongst dramatic fjords of Oman’s northern coast. Be sure to see the sweeping fjords from Khawr Najd, offering the best views. Enjoy glimpses of the resident bottlenose and humpback dolphins when you explore the waters by boat. On land, you can explore Bedouin villages as well as the 17th century Khasab Castle and its museum telling the Khasab story through the ages. Finish your day on land at 6pm and voyage to your next destination.
Known for the uncrowded pristine beaches, Fujairah is considered one of the best places for scuba diving. Take to the Hajar Mountains for some scenic hiking but be sure to dress appropriately for the change in climate. Explore the Fujairah iconic sights from the Al-Bidyah Mosque to Fujairah Fort and much more. On this trip, make sure to bring your passport as you’ll be passing through the border between UAE and Oman.
For your last adventure, disembark from Star Legend to explore Muscat from 8am. Muscat is the perfect blend of historic monuments and modern elegance. Indulge in high-end shopping malls and gaze at their awe-inspiring modern high-rise buildings. From here, travel back in time and visit the 16th century Al Jalali and Mirani, Portuguese forts. Be sure to visit the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque decorated in marble – an incredible sight to end your trip as you head to the airport for your flight home.
