Well aware of its glamorous surroundings, famous fashion outlets and nearby cocktail bars, the InterContinental Perth City Centre hotel certainly looks and feels the sophisticated part.

Not least the Loft Lounge Bar - Serving up high tea in the afternoon and lip-smacking cocktails at night in either a chic main room or even better – out on the terrace overlooking central Perth – at least one afternoon or evening here is a must.

Onsite Ascua restaurant also offers something special: a Spanish-themed fine-dining eatery that’s known around these parts for its delectable seafood dishes and mouth-watering steaks, griddled to perfection atop a sizzling wood-fired grill in Ascua’s open-plan kitchen.

Gastronomy aside, there’s not an overly long list of further in-house facilities, yet you will find a modern gym and salon while staying at InterContinental Perth City Centre hotel, plus babysitting and concierge services if you need them and additional Club Level extras if booking certain Executive Rooms or Suites. Indeed those accommodation options are a major part of the appeal too, on top of the property’s prime location and roof terrace.

Although relatively modest in size, every room is beautifully decorated in bespoke artworks and neutral colour tones, well-equipped with an espresso machine and walk-in rain shower as well as enjoying lots of light and accompanying views, thanks to huge windows on at least one of the walls. Higher category options do then provide a comfortable lounge area, standalone bathtub and bigger floorplans, though all are just as thoughtfully decorated as each other.

During the day, you can head here for a five-star high tea of artistic homemade cakes and sweets, or wait until the evening for a cocktail and light bite as the sun begins to set over the city.

One of the main draws when staying at the InterContinental Perth City Centre hotel is its location; as the property’s name quite rightly suggests you’re in the heart of the action here! Immediately next door are some of Perth’s best designer boutiques, so shopaholics will be more than happy, though there’s also His Majesty’s Theatre plus plenty of artisan coffee houses, funky bars and fine restaurants all around. Central Station is then within a couple of minutes’ walk, so Kings Park, Cottesloe Beach, Adventure World and all the other highlights of Perth can be reached in no time at all, while anyone visiting on a romantic break may want nothing more than to sip cocktails in the hotel’s classy lounge bar each evening.
