Full accommodation information

COMO The Treasury, Perth occupies a group of late Victorian stone and brick buildings which were once Perth’s original General Post Office and the Treasury, locally known as the ‘State Buildings’.

During a multimillion-dollar restoration of these buildings and the surrounding Cathedral Square redevelopment, the architects ensured that 95 per cent of the buildings’ 19th-century origins were retained, such as the dormer windows and Victorian slate roofs finished with copper trimmings.

The rooms here are spread over four floors and are decorated with a light palette of beiges, whites, grey-greens and limed oak furniture. 19th-century features such as truss ceilings and dormer windows blend with modern amenities such as heated bathroom floors, LED televisions and multimedia hubs. Other amenities include electronic translucent sheers and black-out blinds and a complimentary mini-bar replenished daily.

Wildflower Restaurant, located on the fourth floor, serves lunch and dinner against a backdrop of Stirling Gardens and Swan River views from its rooftop setting. Post is the hotel’s trattoria-style restaurant, serving Italian classics, light bites and a grazing menu in the grandeur of the original franking room of the historic Post Office.

After a day exploring Perth’s attractions and its surrounds, retreat to COMO Shambhala Urban Escape, where you can enjoy rejuvenating and holistic body treatments. Additional wellness facilities include a 20-metre indoor heated lap pool and gymnasium.

COMO, The Treasury is conveniently located on St Georges Terrace, close to Elizabeth Quay and Barrack Street Jetty, a popular dining spot with access to ferries across to Rottnest Island. The Art Gallery of Western Australia and vibrant neighbourhood of Northbridge with its hip bars and Asian eateries is only a 10-minute walk away.

Room Amenities: Air-conditioning, complimentary Wifi, flat-screen television, hairdryer, in-room safe, complimentary mini-bar, tea and coffee making facilities, 24-hour room service
