The retreat makes full use of the beautiful surroundings with full width, floor-to-ceiling windows and spacious outdoor decks. Fitting for the beautiful Blue Mountains setting, here you’ll find a real sense of bringing the outdoors in.

Spicers Sangoma Retreat is ideal both as a base for exploring the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, and as a place to relax and simply enjoy the serenity of nature. Laze by the stunning infinity lap pool and take in the endless views. Enjoy gourmet breakfasts, light lunches and hearty four-course dinners, served under starlit summer skies or in the intimate dining room. Spend chilly evenings by the open fire in the main lounge, or roast marshmallows over the outdoor open-pit fire on the main deck.

Explore the great outdoors and the variety of local flora and fauna along the property’s walking tracks, or those within the national park. Activities such as horse riding, mountain biking and kayaking are all available and easily accessed from the retreat.

Take the spectacular circular drive through Mount Tomah and visit Blue Mountains Botanic Gardens, discover the majestic underground caverns of Jenolan Caves, and take in the spectacular views at Govetts Leap Lookout in Blackheath.

Tent Suite

This safari style luxury tent is set on stilts surrounded by a forest canopy. The suite features a luxurious king-size bed, timber flooring and free standing two-person Philipe Starck bathtub. Other features include a fireplace, flat-screen television with built in DVD player, an open plan shower and outdoor private deck with lounges.

Luxury Bush Suite

There are three Luxury Bush Suites, each with a large open plan design. Luxury features include in-floor heating, free standing two-person Philipe Starck bathtub and wood-burning fireplace. Wake to unhindered views of the native forest from the luxury of your king-size bed. Relax on your private outdoor deck, where on a sunny day you may even spot Sydney’s elegant skyline.

Lodge Suite

This luxurious suite is conveniently located in the main lodge. Facing north-east, the suite benefits from magnificent sunrises and views over the valley below, with glimpses of the city skyline in the distance. The large open plan design allows unhindered bush views from your custom-made king-size bed, and includes a comfy lounge with combustion fireplace. Other luxuries include a two-person Philipe Starck bathtub, in-floor heating and private outdoor deck.

Escarpment Suite

There are two Escarpment Suites, the largest accommodations at Spicers Sangoma Retreat. Both suites face north-west and offer views of the gorge below. The open plan design creates a sense of space, inviting the outdoors in. Enjoy luxuries such as in-floor heating, designer bathrooms and custom king-size beds.

Chief’s Suite

The premier suite at Spicers Sangoma Retreat, split over two levels with an upstairs bedroom affording panoramic views of the native surroundings; on a sunny you can even catch glimpses of Sydney’s skyline. Downstairs, you will find a spacious living room, dining area and private plunge pool.
