Shangri-La Rasa Sayang is a charming tropical retreat offering 304 rooms across two wings.
The décor takes its cue from traditional Malaysian architecture. The Garden Wing utilises hues of blue with earthy and citrus tones whereas the Rasa Wing has a more contemporary Asian feel with gold, deep red and beige tones.
Families will love the kids’ pool, Adventure Zone and play areas while adults can indulge in the nine-hole golf course, adults-only pool and CHI The Spa. Extra activities on offer include the fully-equipped gym, yoga and tennis courts plus tai chi, table tennis and beach volleyball.
The dining scene is exciting with options ranging from the western-style Feringgi Grill to the Spice Market Café, which pays homage to Penang’s heritage as a culinary meeting place and historic centre of trade. A range of styles are present in the cuisine, with the chefs creating Malaysian-inspired delights plus international and Asian fusion.
