Kerin's Top Tips

When you visit the island, make sure to sample some of the delicious local dishes. One of my favourites is pickled breadfruit (boiled breadfruit soaked in zingy lime juice). I also love our fresh fish accompanied by a refreshing Banks Beer. So good!
Remember that Barbados has a tropical climate, so easy light clothing is required. Whilst there’s no need to overpack, gents should travel with a pair of long trousers as this is tends to be the dress code for restaurants in the evening.
Some of the best things to do on the island includes swimming with turtles. Other highlights include watching the green monkeys feed at the Barbados Wildlife Reserve, taking in the natural beauty of the East Coast and relaxing around the fishing town of Oistins on a Friday night.

Barbados is such a special destination. The climate and cuisine are both perfect! However, its main asset is the Bajan people, who are friendly and helpful. Having the opportunity to mix and mingle with the locals and experience the island’s culture is truly what makes a holiday in Barbados spectacular.
