Located in the heart of the Carmel Valley amongst oak trees and vineyards stands the beautiful and tranquil Bernardus Lodge & Spa.

This luxury retreat offers 73 accommodations scattered throughout 28 acres of gardens, orchards and vineyards.

The rooms and suites offer a combination of old-world charm with modern sophistication, each featuring gas fireplaces, two-person soaking tubs, lavish king-sized beds and a ‘wine grotto’ minibar with complimentary wine and cheese on arrival.

Aside from the lovely vineyards and winery, Bernardus Lodge also has tennis courts, a swimming pool and fitness centre.

Visit the luxurious spa and relax in the meditation garden, steam and sauna rooms and outdoor tub and enjoy marine-themed treatments and vinotherapy.

Dining at the Bernardus Lodge is a real highlight of your stay; the stylish Lucia Restaurant showcases a creative menu paired with wines from the lodge's extensive wine cellar, you can enjoy dining indoors and outdoors.

From Bernardus Lodge, other wineries can easily be reached, as well as the Robert Muir Grave golf course, Carmel Valley Village and the charming and quaint Carmel-by-the-Sea.

These beautiful suites are located on the top floor of the two storey villa buildings and offer vaulted ceilings, separate living-room with open gas fireplace, French doors leading to a spacious furnished balcony with fireplace and open views. The master bedroom features its own fireplace and en-suite bathroom with free standing two-person copper soaking tub.
