Full accommodation information
Fairmont Vancouver always gives you a royal welcome as you step foot into the lobby. This grand railway hotel is nestled in Vancouver’s financial district, making it the perfect location for a city break on the Canadian Pacific coast.
The hotel oozes classic glamour combined with comforting modern aesthetics. Its château style exterior is a staple of Canadian architecture, so, it’s beautiful bright stonework exterior with green copper roofing might be familiar to you!
The Fairmont Vancouver underwent a four-year $75 million renovation between 2015 and 2019. The redesign was inspired by the hotel’s royal visit of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth in 1939 - the royal family travelled along the Canadian Pacific Railway and considered Vancouver the crowning gem of their trip. The hotel’s bar and restaurant show off photography and interior design that pay homage to this prestigious visit.
Ideally located just nine miles from the airport, the hotel is also a short drive from the cruise ship dock and the Rocky Mountaineer station, making it the perfect place to stay before heading out on an Alaskan cruise or a journey into the mountains.
If you’d rather explore for a little longer, you’ll easily be able to access some of the city's major landmarks and attractions from the hotel: Christ Church Cathedral is one of the oldest churches in Canada and sits right next door, Vancouver Art Gallery is located directly opposite and the Pacific Centre, an incredible underground shopping mall, is a short stroll away. It’s also only a 10-30 minute walk to Canada Place, Gastown, Granville Island and Stanley Park, so you’ll be in a prime downtown city location.
The interior of the hotel is incredible too, and perfect for a luxury getaway with comfort in mind. Each of the rooms follows the hotel's grand, classic décor whilst maintaining the modern amenities that you’d expect of 5-star accommodation. For something extra special, you may want to stay at Fairmont Gold. A ‘hotel within a hotel’ located on the ninth and fourteenth floors, you’ll have access to a private lounge, dedicated concierge and additional amenities such as complimentary breakfast, evening hors d’oeuvres, afternoon scones and pastries, honour bar and complimentary non-alcoholic drinks.

Restaurants & Bars
Notch8, the hotel's main restaurant combines 1930s interior design with a modern twist. Cuisine here is all about comfort and indulgence, so try out the delectable prime rib sandwiches or a warming soba noodle power bowl to fuel your city escapades.
The stunning Notch8 bar has a speakeasy feel to it with TV screens showing the latest sports, including the Canadian favourite, ice hockey, as you sip on a Rum Manhattan or a Spiced Honey Mule.
You’ve arrived in one of the most exciting cities in Canada and the gem of the Canadian west. The city itself is well-known for having an easy-going atmosphere, for fantastic scenic views and an absolutely abundant food scene. Head to Stanley Park, one of the city's major landmark areas, where you can cycle around 400-hectares for views of the Pacific rainforest and coastal paths. If you’re visiting with the kids or love marine life, you can also visit the Vancouver Aquarium before you grab a bite of some delights such as sushi, Dungeness crab or poutine.
For more outdoor adventures, get out on the water on a kayak at Deep Cove. Soak up the sun on Kitsilano Beach or hike up Grouse Mountain!
After a long day in the outdoors, visit the foodie districts of Chinatown and Gastown for some delicious meals, from Michelin-starred fine dining to authentic Chinese and street foods.
For something truly spectacular, view the city by seaplane or venture out to the Gulf Islands and Howe Sound for a chance to view some of Vancouver’s incredible marine wildlife, including orca’s, seabirds and sea lions.
Spa and Relaxation
Whilst you stay at Fairmont Vancouver, you’ll be pampered from dawn to dusk. Take care of your wellbeing at the health club and pool. The large, open gym is available for workouts 24-hours a day, whilst the bright indoor pool is perfect for a dip.
The Absolute Spa area shows off some original features of the hotel, including the beautiful lift decorations. Head here for a relaxing signature massage, an aromatherapy session or even special treatments for teens or expecting mums. Whatever you need, the spa will have you covered.
Fancy a little afternoon tea? Notch8 offers a spectacular affair with mini sandwiches, tiny pastries and delicious teas.
Nothing says holiday and relaxation, like a little retail therapy. The grand lobby is home to the hotel's own luxury boutiques including Louis Vuitton, Dior and Gucci where you can shop to your heart's content without even leaving the hotel premises.
Another notable mention for the hotel is the convention space. Located up a set of grand marble stairs, the meeting facilities are gorgeously appointed with showstopping chandeliers. Well worth marvelling at even if you aren’t attending an event!
