This incredible seven-day voyage through the Caribbean islands, winding through the beautiful British Virgin Islands, offers an exploration of the region’s finest historical and natural wonders. Across these diverse locations, you can relish the impeccable flavours of haute cuisine, relax on stunning white sand beaches and immerse yourself in the islands’ extensive histories. With so much to do that satisfies a range of interests, this trip is a strong favourite among beach lovers.

After a four-night pre-cruise stay, board Star Clippers’ lavishly decorated ship, Star Flyer, in St Martin. The Star Flyer’s interior is as authentic as its exterior with antique prints and paintings lining the walls and glistening mahogany rails, the perfect backdrop to its incredible facilities, including a variety of restaurants, bars, and a swimming pool

Setting sail, you’ll glide through softly lapping seas to Anguilla in the eastern Caribbean. Wander the island’s rugged landscapes, swim in cobalt pools or head back to the ship to sink into a luxurious onboard spa treatment.

Next up is the British Virgin Islands. Here you can enjoy informative hiking tours, divine dining experiences and the chance to uncover historical landmarks, such as the ruins of 17th century Dutch fort and the mystifying, age-old water grottos.

Finally, you’ll visit the colourful shoppers-paradise of Basseterre, and the Gustavian in St Barths before back heading home, feeling relaxed, restored and thoroughly sun-tanned.

Itinerary

Fly from the UK to St Martin and then take a private transfer to La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel for four nights of luxury.
Spend your next three days in the company of a stunning coastline and rich blue skies. You’ll be accommodated in a spacious Deluxe Ocean View Room , with charming interiors and balcony views of the Caribbean Sea. Delicious breakfast included.
Spend the day exploring the intricacies of Anguilla’s fascinating landscape, from white sandy coves to cobalt pools and towering cliff faces. In the evening, try the haute cuisine at Malliouhana, or the Arabian Nights ambience of Pimms.

Today’s schedule makes time for two wonderful destinations. The first stop, Jost van Dyke, welcomes visitors with amazing hiking trails and the best beaches in the British Virgin Islands. Be sure to rehydrate at the famous Foxy's Tamarind Bar in Great Harbour. Second on the list, Soper's Hole is full of history. Visit the nearby ruins of 17th century Dutch Fort Recovery, along with the many ‘watering holes’ dotted across the island.
Your next destinations are of high cultural significance and essential to photograph. Named after the iconic sailor, this famous channel of water lies south of Tortola and runs the full length of the island, from St John to Virgin Gorda. What’s more, rumour has it that Robert Louis Stevenson was inspired by these scenes before penning his literary masterpiece, Treasure Island! Savour the sights before you leave.
Today is a day for a more intimate discovery of your surrounding waters. Take a bath at Virgin Gorda's unique water grottos formed by ancient lava flows. After that, head on over to Little Dix Bay, where you’ll find the renowned Bitter End Yacht Club, some excellent beaches, and the best sailing boats around.
To feel your feet on the ground again, the next stop is Basseterre. Shop until you drop in its colourful boutiques, play golf and tour old plantation houses. For the daring, there's a brisk hike through the rainforest, hosted by the experts.
Spend your last full day soaking up the breathtaking sights in Gustavia, St Barths, known for its picturesque scenery. Then, find time for some last-minute shopping in the chic boutiques, take one last snooze on the beautiful beaches and take a seat for your last meal.
This morning you’ll bid farewell to the ship’s hard-working crew, and the firm friends you’ve made. After soaking up your final few rays of Caribbean sunshine, you’ll disembark the ship and transfer to the airport for your flight back to the UK.
