See the best of the Athens Riviera from Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel’s outright opulence and serenity; this five-star, family-friendly resort is just 30 minutes from the Acropolis yet with its pools, grounds and three private beaches, feels a world away.
Full accommodation information
The style and look of the resort, standard of facilities, location, included extras and just about every element that goes into making this property luxury define it.
You really are spoilt for choice while staying here, as first you have the Temple of Poseidon; highlights of ancient Athens; countless museums; scenic coastal roads and local tavernas to explore within minutes of the property.
Then, back at the Four Seasons Astir Palace itself there are three private beaches lined with loungers and daybeds; two stunning outdoor pools surrounded by sun patios plus another pool and signature Fountain House hydrotherapy zone in the hotel’s heavenly spa; multiple fine dining restaurants and cocktail bars; a kids club; tennis courts; evening entertainment and a private jetty on nearby Astir Marina for yacht tours, and romantic sunset cruises each evening.
The point is that, during your time at Four Seasons Astir Palace, you’ll benefit from both a prime location, nicely tucked away on a private mini-peninsula though close enough to the highlights of Athens, plus all of those top-end five-star facilities onsite. And, given the size of the resort, it won’t matter whether you are visiting this region of Greece as a family or couple as there are adults-only and child-friendly areas alike, from the spa to the games room, private beach to lounge bars; Four Seasons Astir Palace has everyone covered. In terms of décor and design, the outside of this resort is uber-cool and very easy on the eye. Think white linen cabanas, immaculate sundecks and potted olive trees sitting harmoniously with the natural foliage and ancient trees that hug the coastline. Inside each luxurious guestroom, villa or bungalow the story continues, all white marble, pine floors, walls of glass and not an ornament out of place; this is contemporary Greek style to a tee.
And just as the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel certainly feels the part, enjoys unbeatable Aegean views and undeniable good looks, if you’re in any doubt as to its five-star credentials, simply make your way to any of the seven fine dining restaurants or cocktail and lounge bars. Here you’ll find only the very best seasonal produce, cutting-edge cuisine, globally-inspired techniques and recipes worthy of such a setting; flawless.
Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel has three distinct locations for its varied accommodation options, all set around a different point on this mini-peninsula meaning each offers a slightly different view, appeal to the rooms and mix of which resort facilities are closest to hand. That said, they do also have a lot in common too, such as their squeaky clean, modern and thoroughly elegant interior design, lovely outdoor areas, sea views and extensive list of in-room amenities. Some come with a private pool, others a cute garden lining their patios, though every room at Four Seasons Astir Palace will enjoy, at the very least, 430sq ft of space, a king-size bed, walk-in rain shower and separate deep-soak tub, Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs in both the bedroom and bathroom, thick robes and either forest or coastal views.
The Arion section of Four Seasons Astir Palace has easy access to the spa and indoor pool, as well as restaurants and bars including Pelagos, the Astron Lounge, Aristotle’s and Taverna 37, while those in the Nafsika wing are closest to Mercato, the hotel’s Italian eatery, Avra Bar and poolside grill Helios, as well as the gym and waterfront itself. If staying in the Bungalows, you’ll be nicely tucked away though close to the beach and almost everything is equidistant.

The Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel is loaded with exciting things do, exclusive services and five-star facilities, such as its three private beaches, five tennis courts, a private jetty for boat tours and yacht hire, three luxe swimming pools and a unique indoor hydrotherapy zone, the Fountain House. Here you will find a lap pool, aroma room, vitality pools and a traditional Hammam, as well as all kinds of restorative treatments available at the spa, a gym and yoga studio with classes on offer. If travelling to Athens with children, there’s a babysitting service here, a fun kids club, valet parking and a well-drilled concierge team when you need them.
Restaurants & Bars
The fine dining produce served up at Pelagos is all seasonal, as this beautifully refined restaurant – that specialises in seafood and modern reincarnations of everyone’s Greek favourites – is only open at certain times of the year, so if you’re able to book a table here when visiting, be sure to do it, you won’t be disappointed.
Wood-fired pizzas, homemade mozzarella and pesto, tangy salads and just about every other iconic Italian dish you could wish for, all prepared, cooked and presented to suitably artistic effect; Mercato is a food-lover’s dream.
Far, far more than your average beachside diner, Taverna 37 puts a refined twist on all the local classics. Think traditional mezzes, calamari in vine-tomato reduction, superfood salads and seafood flame-grilled in ouzo. This is light, coastal, summery fare – but not as you know it.
A little taste of South America comes singing and dancing into Athens at the poolside Helios bar, a refreshingly different, laidback eatery serving mojitos, caipirinhas, tapas and tostadas; enjoy!
Astron Lounge and Terrace
From afternoon tea and decadent homemade cakes to a fresh Greek salad prepared with edible flowers, paired with a glass of chilled fine wine; the Astron Lounge and terrace is the perfect daytime haunt to sit back, and enjoy the simple things in life, all done to a very high standard indeed.
Avra Lounge and Terrace
You can expect a little bit of everything at Avra Lounge and Terrace, as this seasonal restaurant showcases a touch of Greek, Mediterranean, Italian and pan-Asian influence across its fine dining menu; one of the most upmarket restaurants in the entire Four Seasons Astir resort.
The final piece of the gastronomic jigsaw comes at Aristotle’s, a sophisticated lounge/bar that serves up top-notch cigars, cognacs and cocktails aplenty – an ideal way to end the evening.
Activities & Entertainment
While staying at Four Seasons Astir Palace you have the highlights of the Athens Riviera all within easy reach, as well as various island-hopping day trips, the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounio, of course the Acropolis, Parthenon, many museums and attractions of ancient Athens too. A little closer to home lies Astir Marina and swathes of scenic coastal roads to drive, though onsite there are then three private beaches, tennis courts, jogging and walking trails, watersports including surfing and sea kayaks, cookery and yoga classes, occasional live music and open-air cinema nights, sunset cruises each evening and the Glyfada Golf Club just a few minutes away. Add this to the fun-filled kids club, pools and spa, restaurants and sea-facing sun patios; the Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel just keeps on giving!
