Veranda Natural Resort

Veranda Natural Resort is a modest boutique jungle hideaway in Kep, Cambodia, that allows the tree-covered hills, national park wildlife and sea views to do most of the talking.

Full accommodation information

Veranda Natural Resort is an unashamedly rustic-chic jungle lodge in Kep National Park, a place that immerses you into the rainforest through its hillside location, aerial views of the coast and interior design, adorned as it is almost entirely in reclaimed wood.

Comfort here does still come, and in many forms. It starts with two outdoor swimming pools which are a gift during humid afternoons; one is surrounded by subtropical gardens and the other, an infinity pool, boasts a large sun patio and loungers overlooking the forest canopy. Elsewhere around the Veranda Natural Resort, there is a fittingly earthy spa that, just as with the entire lodge, uses eco-friendly materials, oils and ingredients throughout its list of massage and relaxation treatments.

Indeed, staying true to its name, there is a noteworthy natural feel to everything here, from handmade driftwood ornaments to the locally sourced produce served in the restaurant, or toiletries made from native plants and ocean salts. This ethos works wonderfully with the hotel’s Kep National Park setting, as after a day enjoying the region’s wildlife walks, nature trails, time on the nearby beach or perhaps a boat trip, you can feel even more connected with it all while here. None more so, in fact, than if simply sipping a drink or tucking into your Khmer cuisine, overlooking the rainforest from any of Veranda Natural Resort’s many vantage points.

So, for sunset views from the bar, individually designed guestrooms, villas and suites, kids activities, a beautiful bakery and handicraft boutique onsite, book your stay at Veranda Natural Resort; an eco-lodge in Kep National Park that has more to offer than first meets the eye.

All guestrooms, suites, villas and bungalows at Veranda Natural Resort are decorated in a similarly rustic style of wooden furniture, stone walls and traditional ornaments and artworks throughout each space. In-room amenities come in the form of Wi-Fi, a minibar, private veranda and air-conditioning, with double or twin bed setup available – more if opting for a multi-room villa or bungalow. The various room categories are dispersed throughout the hotel grounds, offering a range of floor plans, views, outdoor spaces and so on. Note that some accommodations are not completely suitable for anyone with mobility issues as, although nicely secluded, they can be hidden down a maze of wooden walkways and stairs into the forest.

Standard Room

Standard Room

Some of the standard rooms are conveniently placed near the main building, also benefitting from slightly elevated views. A private veranda, walk-in rain shower and all other Natural Resort amenities are included.
Superior Room

Superior Room

Superior vistas for a Superior Room and either easy pool access via a private stairway or clearer sea views, depending on whether you choose the lower or upper floors respectively. The Superior Room category is a good step up, with an al fresco shower and slightly larger floorplan too, though for the best panoramas of them all go for the Penthouse in this room category.
Suite

Suite

Choose a Suite if seeking a little more space and step up in luxury. There are queen-size beds and at least one veranda for all of them, however, it is worth noting that each is individually designed and positioned. This means that some have clear sea views while others are enveloped by foliage, some are semi-detached and single level, yet others are split over two floors, so there is something for everyone depending on your personal preferences.
Family Suite

Family Suite

The Family Suite category at Veranda Natural Resort is a great option for families, with the choice of two separate bedrooms available.
Private Villas

Private Villas

Ranging from two to four-bedrooms and featuring a private pool, large patio and/or gardens, a separate lounge and in some, both a rooftop dining area and mini kids playground below. With butler service, great sea views (for most), bags of space and all of the other in-room amenities that come as standard, plus that same charming décor and a huge floorplan, the Private Villas at Veranda Natural Resort are a cut above.
Bungalows

Bungalows

If looking to really get back to nature, opt for a Bungalow while staying at Veranda Natural Resort, as these wooden treehouse-style abodes have an unmistakeable sense of place about them. Sea views and in-room amenities are not lacking in this room category either.

With two swimming pools – one surrounded by exotic garden foliage, the other a luxe infinity pool with loungers and sea views – an onsite spa, kid’s activities, a craft shop and games room plus a handful of essential comforts such as Wi-Fi, a shuttle service and helpful concierge, the Veranda Natural Resort has you covered.

The Secret Bar & Restaurant

The Secret Bar & Restaurant

The wood-clad, semi-alfresco Secret Bar & Restaurant at Veranda Natural Resort feels perfectly at home on its elevated hillside perch, as Cambodian cuisine is served amidst creeping vines and surrounded by native trees. Here you can dine on fresh seafood, classic Chinese dishes and local favourites beside a wraparound balcony, overlooking the forest canopy and coastline beyond. If all of the ‘seats with a view’ are taken, however, don’t panic, as the central space is just as atmospheric thanks to its tree trunk pillars and reclaimed wooden furniture.
