Land and Ocean Adventures

This resort is in the perfect spot to take a turtle walk along the beach. If you’re visiting between November and February, take this tour to witness the Loggerhead and Leatherback turtle making their way to the coast to lay their eggs and maybe even see the hatchlings make their way to the shore! This is so important to White Pearl and have partnered with the Southern Mozambique Marine Turtle Nesting Monitoring, Tagging & Conservation Programme to protect them. To see more diverse wildlife, take a boat out to the sea between July and November to see the majestic humpback whales breaching the water.

Enjoy thrilling activities along the shore for adrenaline-pumping adventures from fat biking along the shoreline to explore the picturesque bay to surf the waves, stand-up paddleboarding and even snorkelling with the colourful fish. Alternatively, you can enjoy some beach sports with your family and friends or take a horse-back ride along the beach or bush trail.

Sustainability Initiatives & Responsible Tourism

White Pearl is implementing ‘going green’ practices in effort to become more eco-friendly. In their efforts, they have managed to remove single-use straws and replaced with bamboo straws, use glass bottles rather than plastic, provide ‘Save Our Sea’ bags to encourage visitors to collect litter and provide ozone layer-friendly products. White Pearl also uses home-grown garden produce on their menus.

The community surrounding White Pearl means a lot to the resort, and they have incorporated a social responsibility programme, Growing Pearls, to encourage visitors to take an educational tour of the local villages and donate funds towards their projects.
