Nestled among five acres of lush, Sri Lankan greenery and just next door to the beautiful Udawalawe Reservoir, Kalu’s Hideaway offers a warm welcome, great service and ample comfort for visitors wishing to explore Udawalawe National Park.

The variety and abundance of wildlife here is truly breathtaking and it's an amazing location for a spot of elephant-watching! Waking up in your well-appointed room each morning you'll hear an chorus of birdsong from the many exotic species that inhabit the trees all around the hotel's grounds.

Some 14 rooms make up the accommodation here., each has plenty of space, with interconnecting options and flexible configurations making this a great choice for families on a Sri Lanka safari adventure! Modern facilities abound, including a swimming pool and Jacuzzi, as well as a wonderful spa, where traditional Sri Lankan ingredients are used in a host of reviving massages and treatments. Not to mention the food, which is truly excellent.

Safari jeep excursions are available straight from the hotel to the National Park (just a 10 minute drive), as well as visits to local hot water springs, ancient caves and traditional villages.
