Begin with a stay in South Africa’s acclaimed Sabi Sands Game Reserve, where twice-daily game drives allow you to spot the Big Five in one of the continent’s finest wildlife destinations. From here, spend time in Cape Town, a city framed by mountains, coastline and a diverse cultural heritage.
Then board Seven Seas Voyager for a luxury cruise tracing the eastern coast of Africa and the islands of the Indian Ocean. Days at sea provide time to enjoy exceptional dining, enrichment activities and attentive service, while ports of call reveal a fascinating mix of landscapes, cultures and wildlife.
Discover South Africa’s coastal cities, from Port Elizabeth to Durban, before sailing north through the Mozambique Channel. Along the way, explore the French island of Mayotte and reach Madagascar’s northern shores, where colourful markets, fragrant spice plantations, rare wildlife and dramatic scenery await. Visits to Nosy Be and Antsiranana offer opportunities to discover the island’s distinctive character, from lemurs and chameleons to volcanic landscapes and tropical forests.

Day 1 | 26 January 2027 | Fly UK to Johannesburg
Depart the UK on your overnight flight to Johannesburg. On arrival, you’re met and assisted through the airport for your onward connection to Skukuza, the gateway to the Sabi Sands Game Reserve.
Day 2 – 4 | 27 – 29 January 2027 | Sabi Sands, South Africa
Arrive at Sabi Sabi Little Bush Camp for a three-night stay on a full board basis. Your days begin with early morning game drives and continue into the late afternoon, guided by expert rangers and trackers who bring the reserve to life. Look out for the Big Five, as well as an abundance of birdlife. Between drives, return to camp to enjoy the tranquillity of the bush, perhaps watching animals gather nearby from the comfort of your private deck. As evening falls, share stories of the day’s encounters over dinner before settling in beneath a sky scattered with stars.
Day 5 – 6 | 30 – 31 January 2027 | Cape Town, South Africa
Fly from Skukuza to Cape Town and transfer to your hotel for a two-night pre-cruise stay. Framed by the iconic silhouette of Table Mountain, the city unfolds between dramatic peaks and the sparkling waters of Table Bay. Over the next two days, you have time to explore at your own pace. Stroll the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront for harbour-side dining, independent boutiques and lively waterfront views, or take a boat to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned. You may also choose to ascend Table Mountain, where sweeping panoramas reveal the city, coastline and Atlantic Ocean.
Day 7 | 1 February 2027 | Embark Seven Seas Voyager & Depart
Transfer from your hotel to the port this morning and board Seven Seas Voyager. Settle into your suite and take time to explore the ship’s elegant surroundings, from expansive open-air decks to sophisticated lounges. The afternoon is yours to enjoy at leisure as preparations are made for departure. As evening approaches, sail away from Cape Town, watching Table Mountain and the city skyline gradually recede into the distance. With the Indian Ocean stretching ahead, this marks the beginning of the next chapter of your journey. Spend the first night on board, settling into life at sea.
Day 8 | 2 February 2027 | Cruising the Indian Ocean
Spend your first full day at sea as Seven Seas Voyager glides across the Indian Ocean. With nothing but open water on the horizon, the day unfolds at a relaxed pace, whether you choose to unwind on deck or explore the ship’s many facilities. Take time to browse the onboard boutiques, where a carefully curated collection of fine jewellery, fragrances and designer accessories awaits, alongside resort wear and exclusive items. Day 9 – 10 | 3 – 4 February 2027 | Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha), South Africa
Drop anchor in Port Elizabeth, affectionately known as ‘The Friendly City’. Set at the end of South Africa’s celebrated Garden Route, it pairs sweeping beaches with a laid-back coastal atmosphere and is renowned for surfing, scuba diving and seasonal whale watching. A selection of optional shore excursions is available. You may choose the ‘Panoramic Port Elizabeth’ tour, which offers an introduction to the city’s rich heritage. Pause at scenic viewpoints overlooking the shoreline before visiting the Campanile and passing landmarks, including the Victorian Gothic Main Library.
Day 11 | 5 February 2027 | Cruising the Indian Ocean
Continue your voyage across the Indian Ocean with a full day at sea. The day is entirely yours, whether you prefer to relax on deck beneath the open sky or discover more of the ship’s exceptional dining experiences. You may choose from a collection of restaurants, including Chartreuse, Compass Rose, La Veranda, Pool Grill, Prime 7, Sette Mari at La Veranda and Coffee Connection. Tucked away beside the Horizon Lounge, Chartreuse offers contemporary French cuisine in an elegant setting. Savour thoughtfully prepared seasonal dishes, complemented by a curated selection of wines.
Day 12 – 13 | 6 – 7 February 2027 | Durban, South Africa
Discover the city of Durban. Fringed by golden beaches and shaped by a rich mix of cultural influences, it provides a fascinating contrast of coastal scenery and urban life. You may choose to stroll along the Golden Mile (where the Indian Ocean stretches alongside the waterfront), visit historic Old Market Square or wander through the Durban Botanic Gardens (home to an orchid house and a rare cycad collection). The Grey Street Mosque, the largest in the southern hemisphere, is among the city’s most recognisable landmarks and reflects Durban’s diverse heritage.
Day 14 – 15 | 8 – 9 February 2027 | Cruising the Indian Ocean
Enjoy two full days at sea across the Indian Ocean. With uninterrupted ocean views and a relaxed pace, this is an opportunity to make the most of life on board. During the day, you might explore the epicurean enrichment studio, browse the library, visit the internet café or enjoy a game on the bocce court. Outdoor spaces include the pool deck, pool bar, putting green, shuffleboard and golf net. At the centre of the ship, the Atrium draws people together with its striking compass-inspired design and sweeping staircases, linking Deck 4 and Deck 5’s restaurants, lounges and social spaces.
Day 16 | 10 February 2027 | Cruising the Mozambique Channel
Sail through the Mozambique Channel, where endless ocean vistas set the scene for a restorative day at sea. With no ports of call, you can focus on relaxation and wellbeing while enjoying the comforts of life on board. Make use of the fitness centre, jogging track and paddle tennis court, or retreat to the Serene Spa & Wellness™. Here, expert instructors lead Pilates, yoga and meditation sessions, while also offering guidance on the latest fitness equipment, from spinning bikes and treadmills to Technogym strength machines. Personal training sessions can also be arranged.
Day 17 | 11 February 2027 | Mayotte, French Comoros
Mayotte
Mayotte is your next destination. Step ashore in Mamoudzou, the capital of Grande-Terre, where French and Comorian influences combine amid volcanic landscapes and coral-fringed shores. This island outpost offers a rewarding mix of coastal scenery and elevated viewpoints. You may choose to explore independently or join the ‘Pointe Mahabou Walking Tour’, which winds through gardens rich with tropical flora, including fragrant ylang-ylang, prized in perfume making. Along the way, discover aspects of the island’s Malagasy heritage, including the burial site of a 19th-century sultan.
Day 18 | 12 February 2027 | Nosy Be, Madagascar

Explore Nosy Be, a tropical archipelago celebrated for its spice plantations, volcanic lakes and palm-fringed coastline. Disembark in Hellville and spend time browsing the lively local market, where the aromas of spices mingle with stalls selling fresh produce and handcrafted goods. You may choose to venture further by private driver, discovering crater lakes surrounded by lush vegetation and traditional villages. Optional excursions include the ‘Highlights of Northwestern Nosy Be’, which journeys through fragrant plantations, rural communities and viewpoints such as Mont Passot.
Day 19 | 13 February 2027 | Antsiranana, Madagascar
Antsiranana
Antsiranana is framed by one of the world’s largest natural harbours and a landscape of rugged peaks, secluded bays and colonial-era architecture. The city’s distinctive Malagasy-French heritage is reflected throughout its streets and waterfront. You may choose to explore Diego Suarez Bay, overlooked by the dramatic Sugarloaf Mountain, or venture inland to Tsingy Rouge Park, home to striking red sandstone formations. Optional excursions include a visit to Amber Mountain National Park, where guided walks lead through lush rainforest rich in endemic wildlife.
Day 20 | 14 February 2027 | Cruising the Indian Ocean
Today is spent at sea as you continue across the Indian Ocean. With a full day to enjoy the ship’s refined surroundings, you can settle into the relaxed pace of life on board before the journey draws to a close. Explore the ship’s entertainment venues. The Connoisseur Club provides an elegant setting for a nightcap, while the Constellation Theatre presents live performances. Alternatively, the Horizon Lounge, Observation Lounge and Voyager Lounge offer inviting spaces to relax and socialise. For a livelier atmosphere, the Casino features blackjack, roulette, poker and slot machines.
Day 21 – 22 | 15-16 February 2027 | Port Louis, Mauritius & Disembark
Conclude your voyage in Port Louis and spend your final full day on board to discover Mauritius’ volcanic landscapes, coral-fringed shores and emerald-green mountain scenery. The island’s rich cultural influences are reflected in its colourful architecture, bustling markets and coastal communities. You may choose an optional excursion such as ‘Explore the Colourful South’, which showcases some of Mauritius’ most striking natural highlights. Disembark the following morning and transfer to The Oberoi for your post-cruise stay. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy at leisure.
