The ultimate Backwaters destination, Kumarakom is a cluster of little islands on the eastern banks of Vembanad Lake – the largest freshwater lake in Kerala. Visit the 14 acre bird sanctuary that attracts many species of migratory birds, and where egrets, heron, teal and waterfowl can be spotted.
