Set in a picturesque valley, flanked by the Huguenot Mountains the Franschhoek Country House offers peace and relaxation in beautiful surroundings. The restored manor house which dates from 1890, is situated on the outskirts of town surrounded by vineyards and features 14 individually designed deluxe and luxury rooms.

There are additionally 12 new Provencal style villa suites with two balconies, a lounge with fireplace, sumptuous bathroom and impressive entertainment system. The property makes a perfect base from which to explore the wine growing area, whilst being just an hours drive from Cape Town. The in-house Monneaux Restaurant is rated as one of South Africa's best and serves an inspired fusion of Western and Eastern influences.

Although not located in the town centre, the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service, making Franschhoek Country House & Villas an excellent choice for all, and a peaceful retreat with a lovely setting and gardens. At a total of 100 sqm the new villa suites offer exceptionally spacious accommodation, they are decorated to an extremely high standard with a separate lounge, dining facility, entertainment centre, fireplace, large bathroom and 2 patios or balconies with loungers.

Garden Cottages

Garden cottages are ideal for families or those that are looking for extra space, they have a downstairs with an en suite bedroom and access to a lovely private patio, while upstairs there is a lounge with a sofa bed and a private balcony enjoying views over the surrounding vineyards.

Standard Rooms

Located in the original manor house which dates back to 1890 these rooms have all been renovated to an exceptionally high standard and offer complete comfort and luxury. The room all have a private balcony and a small lounge area as well as access to a guest lounge where a complimentary sherry can be enjoyed.

Luxury Room

Located separately these rooms offer all the comforts of the standard rooms and additionally are more spacious, have a separate bath and shower, their own lounge area and a fireplace. Most of the Luxury rooms offer a balcony or Patio.
