Day 1 UK – St John’s, Newfoundland

Board your direct flight from the UK, and in just over five hours you will be collecting your rental vehicle and making your way to the colourful city of St John’s, arriving in time for a late lunch.

Day 2 St John’s City Tour

This morning’s tour includes many of St John’s highlights. Visit the National Historic site of Cape Spear, where you may walk through a World War II gun battery. Visit North America’s oldest standing lighthouse and look for whales in the North Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy beautiful views at Signal Hill while hearing the historic tales of North America’s oldest colony and visit the quaint fishing village of Quidi Vidi.

Day 3 Whale Watch and Puffin Cruise

This cruise focuses on the world-renowned Witless Bay Ecological Reserve. Home to over 2.5 million seabirds and one of the Atlantic’s most productive feeding areas for several whale species, this Reserve is beyond compare in its ability to offer visitors a world-class wildlife experience consistently. Highlights include over 500,000 Atlantic Puffins and upwards of 50 Humpback Whales during mid-summer. At the start of each season, incredible icebergs often arrive just in time to enchant & astound guests. This morning for the drive to Farewell for your ferry crossing to Fogo Island and then a short drive to the Inn. Check-in to your beautiful accommodation at this unique eco-friendly Inn on the edge of the North Atlantic. During your three-night stay, you can enjoy an included half-day experience, such as a three-hour guided walking tour or an introduction into boat building.

Day 5 Fogo Island

Enjoy a full day immersing yourself in the unique lifestyles of Fogo Island and explore its rugged wilderness. There are several experiences available throughout the year that can be arranged for an additional cost, such as excursions giving you an insight into the island’s fishing economy, full-day nature hikes or explorations of the island’s eco-system with the Inn’s resident Geologist.

A full day for you to explore Fogo Island further. Enjoy active adventures, community immersion, cultural connections and wildlife experiences. Or, just enjoy the unique and luxury surroundings of Fogo Island Inn, watching the wilderness through the floor to ceiling windows of your beautifully appointed and designed room.
