Take a true adventure through some of Canada’s most rugged and striking landscapes with this action-packed family-friendly itinerary. Travel from Calgary to Vancouver whilst stopping at a range of scenic spots, enjoying thrilling activities and chances to spot the beautiful and unique Canadian wildlife as you go.

Start your family journey with some energising white water rafting in the Horseshoe Canyon, before saddling up for a horseback ride through the Albertan wilderness and stopping for a delicious cowboy-style outdoor lunch on the banks of the river. Cosy up around the campfire and gaze up at the clear night skies for an unforgettable end to your day.

As you head further west, you’ll travel across the imposing Athabasca Glacier on board the Ice Explorer and cross the glass-bottom skywalk for jaw-dropping views. Once you arrive at Jasper, you’ll have the opportunity to float down the river and learn all about Jasper National Park, its human history and possibly glimpse moose, elk, eagles and elusive bears.

Continue through the Canadian wilderness for activities abound, from hair raising ziplining and 4x4 Jeep safaris to a trip on the ‘Sky to Sea Gondola’. The fun doesn’t end when you reach Vancouver, either. Explore the city on an e-bike and head out on a Zodiac adventure to view the surrounding Gulf Islands and the marine wildlife.

Today, rather than the rapids, you’ll be horseback riding through Alberta’s untamed wilderness and panoramic scenery. Saddled-up and ready to ride, you’ll hit the trail for the ten-mile journey to Sundance Lodge, stopping for a cowboy-style lunch along the river. Linger by the campfire and watch the stars appear come evening.
