Day 1 San Francisco

Fly into San Francisco and explore this city with its hills, trams and varied neighbourhoods. Highlights include the Golden Gate Bridge and the island of Alcatraz accessed by ferry on which the deserted prison stands. Worth experiencing are the trams and the view from Alamo Square Park. Enjoy a seafood dinner at Fisherman’s Wharf, shop in Nob Hill or Union Square and visit the Presidio, a former military post, in the Golden Gate area. Included in your holiday is a 48-hour Hop-On Hop-Of Bus.

Day 2 San Francisco

Your ‘All Loops Hop-On Hop-Off’ bus ticket is valid for 72 hours from the time you step on your first bus, this is an effortless way to explore San Francisco. There are four routes taking you to iconic sights such as Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and across the water to the delightful waterfront town of Sausalito. Your ticket also includes a return ferry and self-guided tour of the notorious Alcatraz Prison.

Day 3 San Francisco to Napa Valley (47 miles)

This morning pick up your rental car from a downtown location in San Francisco and drive approximately one and a half hours to Napa Valley. Known as the principal wine growing region of the United States, Napa Valley is home to over 200 wineries. Perhaps take a tour of one of the well-known wineries such as, Mondavi and Beringer, play golf in one of the ten courses or go on a hot air balloon to enjoy breathtaking views.

Day 4 Napa Valley

Spend a full day in this beautiful area of California, take a private wine tasting tour or board the historic Napa Valley Wine Train for a gourmet lunch and wine tasting experience. Day 5 Napa Valley to Yosemite National Park (226 miles)

Drive southeast to Yosemite National Park where you will spend two nights exploring this spectacular natural wilderness. Take time to stop in the town of Mariposa, a former Gold Rush town, a stroll up the historic Main Street conjures up visions of the Old West. A visit to the small but interesting Mariposa Museum & History Center gives you an insight of what life was like in the Gold Rush era.

Day 6 Yosemite National Park

Yosemite National Park offers awe-inspiring vistas, spectacular waterfalls and an abundance of outdoor activities throughout all four seasons. Hike, bike, climb or explore the national park on horseback. You can pan for gold or zip line through the treetops. Take a wildlife tour in search of Black Bear and Mountain Lions or spend a day with a Yosemite Conservancy Naturalist learning more about the parks flora and fauna.
