Itinerary

Day 1 Arrive Mumbai- Board Deccan Odyssey-Nasik

The Deccan Odyssey departs from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus in the evening. We ideally recommend adding a night prior to you boarding your train in Mumbai, so that you are well in time for the departure.

Day 2 Nasik

Arrive at Nasik and after breakfast you will spend the morning walking along the Godavari Ghats, through the busy vegetable markets and then proceed to the Vineyards for an exclusive tour. Later you will return to the Deccan Odyssey to proceed to Aurangabad. Overnight on board the train.

Day 3 Aurangabad- Ellora Caves

Morning you will arrive at Aurangabad and drive to the scenic Ellora Caves- World Heritage Site, you will find the finest carved-temple architecture here and the most remarkable Kailash Temple. Later you will enjoy a lovely meal on board your luxury train. Today enjoy the evening on board the train and enjoy cocktails and a sumptuous dinner. Overnight is on board the train as you head to the Ajanta Caves.

Day 4 Arrive at Ajanta Caves

Arrive at Jalgaon station and after breakfast on board you will drive to the Ajanta Caves, another World Heritage Site and architectural marvel of India. The beautiful cave temples depict a fusion between Buddhist and Hindu faith. Lunch is on board the train and the rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy activities on board, you can watch a movie, play a game of carom or play or book a massage on board. Overnight is on board the train as you head to Kohlapur.

Day 5 Kolhapur

You will arrive Kohlapur in the afternoon. After an early lunch you will disembark for a tour of the city. Visit the main highlights, New Palace Museum, a lovely Palace and the Town Hall Museum. You will explore the local markets, and proceed for a special tea followed by a dance performance. Later a visit to the 1300 year old Mahalaxmi Temple and a martial arts performance. After your visit of Kohlapur you will head back to the station and board your luxury train where you will enjoy a love

Day 6 Goa

Arrive at Goa, India's smallest State with a strong Portugese influence. After a tasty breakfast you will disembark and drive to Fontainhas, the Latin Quarters in Panjim, which has the well-preserved houses and you can enjoy a UNESCO World Heritage Walk around Fontainhas. Later a visit to the capital, a walk through the ancient churches and ruins. Day 7 Arrive Ratnagiri

Ratnagiri is a beautiful jewel in the Konkan Coast. Disembark and you will head to the cashew and Mango plantation. Enjoy a tour of the plantation and enjoy nature at it's best as you walk around the area. Later you will visit a beach resort and enjoy lunch with a lovely cultural dance performance and then relax on the beaches. Drive back to the station and you will enjoy a lovely meal on board before you head to back to Mumbai.

Day 8 Mumbai

Early morning you will arrive back into Mumbai at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus Railway Station. Later you will bid farewell to your train and your fellow passengers. Ideally recommend to keep a night in Mumbai for a comfortable nights sleep before you fly home.
