Tierra Atacama was built with local materials such as adobe and local rock to blend seamlessly into the natural environment. Aspects of the original site, such as the ancient trees and adobe walls, were left intact as a mark of respect for the indigenous people who once lived in San Pedro de Atacama.

This boutique lodge offers 30 rooms and two family suites, spectacularly positioned with magnificent views towards Licancabur Volcano or the vast Salt Mountain range. All the rooms are furnished in a minimalistic style with materials sourced from the region. Dine at the hotel’s cosy restaurant which serves typical Chilean and Andean dishes such as a traditional crab-filled pastry or succulent ostrich fillet. Meals are complemented by Chilean wines: try the rich, smooth Carménère or the fresh, fruity Sauvignon Blanc from a coastal vineyard.

Tierra Atacama’s Uma Spa is home to an outdoor swimming pool overlooking the Licancubar volcano, a Jacuzzi and an indoor heated pool. Discover a range of treatments inspired by natural desert elements such as volcanic mud and lithium-rich salt.
