This serene ambience extends throughout the hotel, from the elegant bar and restaurant spaces to the capacious guestrooms, which number 256 in total and make for totally sumptuous abodes.

On top of the Mandarin Oriental’s sophisticated stylings, you can also expect mesmerising views of the sea from one side of the hotel – enjoyed from the outdoor terraces, swimming pools and many guestrooms – then skyline vistas from the other. You can while away the hours by devouring Portuguese cuisine at Tasca, sipping cocktails from the pool bar, luxuriating in the spa or trying out the caviar bar, Beluga, which is an experience not to be missed. The 256 rooms and suites at Mandarin Oriental Jumeira are elegantly designed in silver or bronze hues, accented with a touch of teal here and there to reflect the sparkling Arabian Gulf lying just beyond the hotel. For something totally different, head to Beluga at Mandarin Oriental, a bar specialising in all things caviar. Try the tsarine potato with Russian Oscietra caviar; warm scallop carpaccio with sour cream, green coulis and Imperial caviar; or perhaps the red carabinero tartare with salmon caviar. There are also caviar-infused cocktails to sample, a creative caviar afternoon tea, and plenty of champagne too.

In a remarkable partnership with Freestyle Divers and Azraq For The Oceans, the resort has created an artificial reef, fostering the growth of an entirely new ecosystem in the pristine waters surrounding the property. This eco-initiative not only enhances the local marine environment, but also offers a unique experience for guests to witness the rejuvenation of the underwater world.
