Cross the sparkling Caribbean Sea aboard Le Bougainville on this 11-night journey through the enchanting islands of St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica. From lush volcanic landscapes to the sun-drenched beaches of Bequia, Mayreau, and the Tobago Cays, this route showcases the West Indies’ most beautiful shores and coral reefs.

Arriving in St Lucia, your experience begins with a three-night stay in your choice of luxury hotel, allowing time to fully relax before setting off island-hopping through the Grenadines.

You’ll board Ponant’s state-of-the-art ship, Le Bougainville, a small luxury yacht with elegant staterooms and all-inclusive, world-class dining. Savour refined French cuisine and fine wines at The Nautilus or enjoy relaxed lunches at Le Nemo, the al fresco grill on deck. With a Cruise Director on hand to curate your chosen experiences, days can be spent snorkelling, kayaking, or exploring hidden coves. Between ports, unwind in the spa with a massage or time in the hammam.

Itinerary

Fly from the UK to St Lucia and check into your chosen hotel for a three-night stay. Slow down as you embrace ‘Caribbean time’, unwinding on the soft white sands and sipping a punch as the sun sets.
Check out of your hotel and transfer to Vieux Fort, where you’ll embark Le Bougainville for your Caribbean cruise. Settle into your bright, airy stateroom before relaxing at one of the bars or stretching out on a sunlounger by the pool. This evening brings your first taste of the ship’s excellent dining, including the gourmet restaurant, The Nautilus.
Bequia
Arrive in Bequia, the second-largest island of St Vincent & the Grenadines, and wander through Port Elizabeth, a charming town lined with colourful houses, gardens and seaside cafés. Stroll along the promenade to Princess Margaret Beach, beloved by its royal namesake. Pull up a sun lounger and relax at one of the beach bars, take a gentle walk along one of the leafy trails or dip into a rocky cove for some snorkelling.
Mayreau
Step ashore on Mayreau, the smallest and most tranquil of the Grenadines islands. Time here is best spent at an easy pace, whether that’s relaxing on a sun-dappled beach or slipping into crystal-clear waters to snorkel among coral and tropical fish.
Tobago Cays
Enjoy some time to explore the Tobago Cays, a cluster of five tiny, uninhabited islands set amidst turquoise lagoons and surrounded by vibrant coral reefs. This protected marine park is a haven for green turtles and tropical fish, and is perfect for snorkelling, swimming, or simply relaxing on pristine sands.
Pigeon Island
Today you’ll visit Pigeon Island, a National Park since 1979, linked to St Lucia by a sandy causeway. Wander through lush gardens and shaded trails, or relax on one of the two secluded beaches. Snorkellers can explore vibrant coral and the marine life that thrives along the rocky coastline.
Soufrière
Arrive in Soufrière, set in a stunning bay beneath the iconic Pitons. One of the most stunning spots in St Lucia, this beach is also a gateway to some must-do experiences, including a soak in the mineral-rich waters of Diamond Falls. Alternatively, head to the northern beaches to snorkel the vibrant coral reefs, wander the botanical gardens or stroll the pretty pastel coloured town.
Iles des Saintes
Get to know Les Saintes, an enchanting chain of islands discovered by Columbus in 1493. Explore Terre de Haut, one of only two inhabited islands in the archipelago, and admire the views Morne Mire hill as you wander the botanical garden, spotting iguanas amid the cacti. Relax on the long, shaded sands of Pompierre Beach or snorkel around Pain de Sucre, enjoying the clear waters and vibrant marine life. Don’t miss tasting the local 'tourment d’amour', a coconut-filled delicacy that captures the island’s sweet, tropical flavours.
Arrive in Portsmouth, Dominica, the Caribbean’s wildest island, with a landscape made up of mountains, rivers, waterfalls, hot springs and lush rainforests. Adventure awaits in the Indian River, where winding mangroves, entwined roots and towering ferns create a magical, almost mystical atmosphere. Glide through this verdant waterway and soak in the island’s untouched natural beauty.
Disembark Le Bougainville and transfer to your hotel in St Lucia for a one-night stay. Relish a final evening of local flavours and Caribbean tranquillity before your transfer to the airport the following day for your flight back to the UK.
