Set sail aboard Oceania Sonata for her maiden voyage in the Caribbean and uncover the stillness and tranquillity of the region's tropical islands.

Begin with a two-night pre-cruise stay in Miami, Florida, strolling the beachfront boulevards of a city that harks back to its 1970s golden era, before embarking Oceania Sonata for a 13-night Caribbean voyage in a private balcony stateroom.

This is a journey shaped by contrast. Dutch colonial façades in Aruba give way to Bonaire’s protected marine parks, the soaring Pitons of St Lucia, Grenada’s spice estates and Guadeloupe’s rainforest-clad volcanoes. Each island reveals a distinct character of calm Caribbean life, from coral reefs and waterfalls to cane fields and colourful harbour towns.

Life on board is equally considered. As the first of the Sonata Class, Oceania Sonata is defined by generous space, contemporary design and a strong sense of ease. Every stateroom features its own private veranda for that picture-perfect sunrise coffee and quiet nightcap at sea.

Days at sea unfold between the Aquamar Spa, the fitness studio and the pool deck, while evenings revolve around exceptional dining across a collection of refined restaurants, from inventive Nikkei flavours to classic French cuisine. Boutique shopping, curated tastings and polished entertainment complete the experience, ensuring time at sea is every bit as compelling as the destinations themselves.

With flight class upgrades, exceptional hotel options in Miami, and a multitude of shore excursions to experience at every turn, your Travel Specialist can tailor your itinerary entirely to you and your travel style.

Itinerary

Fly from the UK to Miami and transfer to your hotel for your pre-cruise stay. Multiple hotel options are available; your Travel specialist will discuss the options with you and find a hotel that best fits your travel style.
Enjoy a day in Miami exploring pastel Art Deco façades on Ocean Drive, lunching beside Versace’s former mansion, browsing Bal Harbour Shops, relaxing on South Beach, and discovering Wynwood Walls before vibrant nightlife beckons.
Spend the morning at leisure in Miami before taking a private transfer to the port, boarding the Oceania Sonata and settling into your private balcony stateroom, your home for the next 13 nights. This evening, set sail for Oranjestad in Aruba.
Spend two days at sea familiarising yourself with the ship’s refined facilities. Treat yourself to a pre-arranged treatment in the ship's spa, delight in refined dining, or simply relax poolside and take in the magnificent sunsets over the Caribbean Sea.
Oranjestad, Aruba
Enjoy a day in Oranjestad strolling among colourful Dutch colonial façades, browsing refined duty-free boutiques, lingering over a waterfront lunch, then retreating to Aruba’s white sand beaches for swimming in warm, clear seas.
Willemstad, Curaçao
Explore Willemstad, admiring its UNESCO-listed Dutch colonial waterfront, swimming in Curaçao’s clear aquamarine bays, snorkelling vibrant reefs, then venturing into Christoffel National Park to spot rare island wildlife.
Kralendijk, Bonaire
In Kralendijk, hike Washington-Slagbaai National Park in search of iguanas and birdlife, snorkel crystalline waters, kayak through mangroves, pause at Gotomeer, then unwind on Pink Beach or at Lourdes Grotto.
St George's
Nutmeg and cinnamon linger in the air as you arrive in St. George's. Tour a spice estate, visit a traditional rum distillery, sail to Carriacou for diving, then cool off beneath waterfalls or relax on golden beaches.
Bridgetown, Barbados
Arrive in Bridgetown and explore Barbados beyond its harbour, touring historic Great Houses and cane fields, wandering lush gardens, swimming off golden beaches, then snorkelling clear waters rich with vibrant marine life.
Castries, St Lucia
Arrive in Castries and explore its lively markets before visiting historic La Toc Battery. Continue south to Soufriere beneath the Pitons, cycling rainforest trails, swimming beneath waterfalls and snorkelling clear Caribbean reefs.
Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe
Step ashore in Pointe-à-Pitre and explore Guadeloupe’s French Caribbean spirit, hiking Basse-Terre’s rainforest to hidden waterfalls, ascending La Grande Soufrière for panoramic views, then sampling elegant rhum agricole at a traditional distillery.
Tortola, British Virgin Islands
On Tortola, swim at Cane Garden Bay, hike rainforest trails and circle the island on a scenic drive. Kayak along the coast or sail to Virgin Gorda to explore the granite boulders of The Baths.
Two indulgent days at sea aboard Oceania Sonata invite sunrise coffee on your private veranda, afternoons by the pool, spa rituals at Aquamar, fitness padel sessions, boutique browsing, cocktails on the deck, and evenings of exceptional dining and live entertainment.
Miami
Disembark the Oceania Sonata and transfer to the airport for your overnight flight to the UK. If you'd like to extend your itinerary and stay a little longer in the USA or beyond, your Travel Specialist will be able to tailor your journey.
