Cruise along Italy’s west coast and visit the historic ports of Croatia and Montenegro on this nine-night journey, experiencing both celebrated cities and characterful coastal towns.

On the MS EUROPA 2, you’ll visit cultural landmarks, see beautiful scenery and have time to explore as you wish. Start in Civitavecchia, near Rome, then travel south to Naples. Spend your day exploring the city’s lively streets or visiting the ancient ruins of Pompeii. Next is Capri, a favourite of European high society, where you get to stroll through its elegant streets or visit the famous Blue Grotto.

In Messina, Sicily, you can travel inland to Mount Etna. The volcanic landscape is perfect for off-road adventures or a private wine tasting. History comes to the fore in nearby Syracuse, where classical ruins and archaeological sites reveal the island’s layered past.

After crossing the Adriatic, you’ll discover the fortified towns and natural beauty of Montenegro and Croatia. Kotor is set at the end of a fjord-like bay, surrounded by mountains and cliffs, with winding cobbled streets and historic buildings. In Split, visit Diocletian’s Palace or head to Krka National Park to see its waterfalls. On Korcula, experience local life among olive groves and vineyards.

Your cruise ends in Dubrovnik, where medieval walls and terracotta roofs overlook the blue sea. Throughout your trip, you’ll enjoy comfort, great service and a relaxed pace on the MS EUROPA 2.

Day 1 | 16 August 2026 | Fly UK to Rome, Embark MS EUROPA II & Depart

Fly from the UK to Rome, then take a private transfer to the port of Civitavecchia. Once you arrive, board the MS EUROPA 2 and settle into your suite. Explore the ship’s elegant spaces and enjoy your first evening as the cruise sets off along Italy’s coast.

Day 2 | 17 August 2026 | Naples, Italy

Naples

Arrive in Naples, the lively capital of Campania. Spend your day exploring historic streets, grand palaces and busy squares. You can visit the ruins of Pompeii or enjoy authentic Neapolitan food in local trattorias. Take in views of Mount Vesuvius and the bay as you soak up the city’s energy.

Day 3 | 18 August 2026 | Capri, Italy

Capri

Today you’ll visit Capri, a favourite of European high society. Explore the island’s two main areas, Capri and Anacapri, each with its own appeal. From Anacapri, ride the cable car up Monte Solaro for wide views of the sea, cliffs and hidden grottoes. Or, spend time wandering the streets, boutique shops and villas.

Day 4 | 19 August 2026 | Messina, Sicily, Italy

Messina, with its twelfth-century cathedral and the world’s largest astronomical clock, welcomes you to Sicily. Venture to Taormina to explore its renowned ancient theatre and winding streets beneath Mount Etna, or opt for a classic Fiat 500 tour to Savoca, a hilltop village immortalised in The Godfather.

Day 5 | 20 August 2026 | Syracuse, Sicily, Italy

Drop anchor in Syracuse, south-eastern Sicily’s historic gem. Cross the Ponte Santa Lucia and Ponte Nuevo bridges into the heart of the city, where the Neapolis archaeological park reveals a Roman amphitheatre, the Teatro Greco and the legendary Orecchio di Dionisio cave. You could also step inside the cathedral of Santa Maria delle Colonne, built atop ancient temples to Athena. Here, old ruins and baroque architecture mix in a UNESCO World Heritage setting.

Day 6 | 21 August 2026 | Day at Sea

Enjoy a day at sea aboard the MS EUROPA 2, surrounded by refined interiors and attentive service. Choose from curated performances, cultural presentations and art displays, or simply unwind in elegant lounges, savour gourmet dining and make the most of the ship’s exceptional facilities.

Day 7 | 22 August 2026 | Kotor, Montenegro

Awake, refreshed and ready to explore Kotor’s old town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site tucked away at the end of a dramatic bay. You’ll lose yourself in a maze of narrow alleys, Venetian palaces and Gothic and Renaissance churches. Plus, there’s time to take in the striking backdrop of limestone cliffs and mountains or enjoy a leisurely stroll along the waterfront.

Day 8 | 23 August 2026 | Split, Croatia

Split

Make it to Split, where the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace dominates the Old Town centre. Wander through a labyrinth of narrow streets, lively squares and bustling cafés along the Riva promenade. Then why not visit the Cathedral of Saint Domnius or browse local markets and artisan boutiques? For a taste of nature, venture to Krka National Park to marvel at its waterfalls.

Day 9 | 24 August 2026 | Korcula City, Korcula, Croatia

Korcula

Korcula is the penultimate destination, a sun-drenched island in southern Dalmatia. Explore the old town’s time-worn architecture in Korcula City, then venture into a landscape of pine forests, olive groves and rolling hills. You can also set out on a guided buggy safari through the island’s scenic countryside for a touch of adventure.

Day 10 | 25 August 2026 | Disembark in Dubrovnik, Croatia & Fly Home

Conclude your journey in Dubrovnik, the Pearl of the Adriatic, as you disembark from the EUROPA 2. A private transfer takes you to the airport for your return flight to the UK, bringing your Adriatic adventure to a close.
