Full accommodation information

Soneva Kiri is nestled in an ocean-fringed jungle on the remote island of Koh Kood off Thailand’s East Coast, yet a mere 90-minute private jet flight from Bangkok.

The 34 private villas are tucked amidst the natural vegetation and each feature an impressive private pool. Choose from a hillside location or closer to the ocean, steps from the beach. Each spacious retreat is built from sustainably sourced local materials and designed to leave a minimal eco-footprint, yet offers all the modern comforts and amenities you will need. A personal butler is on hand to cater to your every whim. For that extra touch of indulgence, experience one of the eight Retreats or Reserves, some with water slides and children’s treehouse!

Spend your days exploring the island's rainforest on a guided trek or the marine life on a snorkelling trip; practice your tennis on the jungle-surrounded tennis court or glide across the ocean on a catamaran or kayak; learn the art of Thai cooking or try your hand at Thai boxing. If this is all a bit active, head to the heavenly Six Senses Spa for pampering or simply relax by the main pool gazing across the idyllic scenery. In the evening, snack on popcorn and watch a film under the stars at Cinema Paradiso or visit The Observatory and gaze at the stars through the state-of-the-art telescope.

You're equally spoilt for choice when it comes to dining, with cuisine from authentic Thai to Mediterranean classics and delicious fresh seafood. If you have a sweet tooth you will love the wonderful array of homemade ice cream and sorbets at the So Chilled ice cream parlour and the mouthwatering offerings at So Chocoholic. For a memorable dining experience don't miss the Treetop Dining - where you are hoisted six metres above the ground in a bamboo pod, served by a waiter zip-lining through the foliage! For a special romantic occasion dine at Benz - the lantern-lit jungle restaurant, set on stilts amongst the mangroves.

Your Soneva Kiri experience begins the moment you arrive at Bangkok international airport where you will be met by a representative from Soneva Kiri, fast-tracked through immigration and assisted with luggage collection. Relax at Soneva Kiri's lounge before boarding the waiting Soneva Kiri private plane for the 90-minute flight to Koh Mai Si. On arrival at Koh Mai Si you will be welcomed and whisked off to the resort by speedboat (5 minutes).

Gourmet Experiences

Chef Khun Benz spearheads the resort dining at Soneva Kiri, with a dizzying array of wonderful restaurants and unique dining experiences. One of the most exceptional is Treepod Dining, which takes fine dining to new heights. Sitting in a bamboo pod, you’ll be gently elevated high into the tropical foliage of Koh Kood’s ancient rainforest. Gaze out across the boulder-covered shoreline as you savour gourmet delights and wines, delivered via the zip-line acrobatics of your personal waiter. We also recommend embracing the castaway life with ‘Sonu’s Picnic’, where you’ll be taken to a remote nearby beach for lunch prepared by your personal chef.

If you’re something of a wine connoisseur, there are plenty of tasting and dinner-pairing opportunities. Join the resident Sommelier during a blind wine tasting accompanied with delicious charcuteries and cheeses, or join the Chef and Sommelier for an exclusive evening of pairings and creations in the wine cellar.

Our Advice

  • Visit Angkor Wat - just an hours flight away. Be guided by an archaeologist and see areas normally closed to the public.
  • Curb your carbon footprint with a night in the Eco Villa - a zero carbon emissions villa made from 100% recycled locally-sourced materials.
  • Enjoy a classic movie under the stars at the Cinema Paradiso - an enormous inflatable screen set up in the reservoir
