Hotel information
Angama Mara is a high-level safari lodge in Kenya that leaves nothing to chance, ensuring you're treated to the most astonishing views, luxurious facilities and flexible activities, all within this ever-captivating corner of the Maasai Mara.
The lodge is made up of two separate camps, North and South Camp, each made up of 15 spacious Tented Suites, promising 180-degree views of the Great Rift Valley. They're all equipped and styled the same, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows to capture the view and sumptuous features that make you feel truly spoilt during your stay here. The camps share a main communal area, which includes a tempting swimming pool and Maasai boutique, plus access to the many immersive activities that you can enjoy throughout the day.
Embark on a game drive or walking safari, getting up close to the amazing wildlife that inhabits the reserve, or get to know the Maasai culture by exploring nearby villages and observing traditional ceremonies. Of course, one of the ultimate Maasai Mara experiences is a hot air balloon safari, though in fact watching the balloons adorn the sky at sunrise, from the comfort of your exclusive suite, is a memorable experience in itself!
Angama Mara keeps you fuelled up between all these wonderful activities with garden fresh fare straight from their Shamba, a one-acre vegetable patch that's lovingly maintained by the team. You can actually handpick the produce you want in your meal, and the chefs will whip up something delicious for you to eat in the garden itself, on the terrace, in the bush or on your private sundeck. With two breakfasts, lunch, afternoon tea, evening canapes and dinner all provided by the lodge, on top of everything else you really won’t go hungry here either!
Room Options
Tented Suite
At Angama Mara, all of the Tented Suites are created equally to ensure that the same first-class luxuries can be relished by every single guest. This includes spellbinding panoramas of the Maasai Mara, which can be admired from your private sundeck – complete with dining table and chairs – or from indoors, looking out through the floor-to-ceiling windows that stretch for 11 metres across the guestroom.Restaurants & Bars
Angama Mara Dining
At Angama Mara, there's no specific restaurant or bar – you can choose to dine under the shade of the trees, in your guestroom, within the Shamba (vegetable garden) or in the shared areas, and there’s something delicious to be savoured at any time of day. Start early with a hot coffee and fresh orange juice in-room, then relish a breakfast spread of pastries, fruit and omelettes.

Activities & Entertainment
The Maasai Mara is well-known for its incredible hot-air balloon safaris, and not only can you enjoy the ride yourself, looking down at the resident wildlife below, but you can also marvel at the spectacle of balloons floating through the sky at sunrise as you relax at the lodge. Then there are game drives to see lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos, or immersive walking safaris accompanied by Maasai naturalists, who will introduce you to the special corners of this 2,000-hectare reserve. Next, prepare for an unforgettable picnic lunch atop the kopje crest made famous by 'Out of Africa' (the well-known scene is depicted on the film poster), or enjoy cultural experiences such as visiting a Maasai homestead, watching a traditional dance performance, or browsing items on display in the craft shop
