Next, you will transfer to the scenic Ambergris Caye, known as one of the world’s most spectacular holiday destinations. Snorkel at the incredible Belize Barrier Reef, dive at the world-famous Blue Hole, immerse yourself in island life, or simply relax by Victoria House’s beautiful pool.

Itinerary

Day 1 UK – Miami

Board your daytime flight from London to Miami. You will stay overnight in a hotel located close to the airport. This evening, perhaps make the short journey to South Beach and soak up the lively atmosphere.

Day 2 Miami – Belize City – Cayo District

Fly from Miami to Belize City. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Chaa Creek Lodge, where you will stay for the next three nights. The lodge is known as one of the best eco-lodges in the world and offers an array of amenities and activities. Within the lodge, you’ll find stables, hiking and cycling trails, a farm, a beautiful swimming pool and a relaxing spa.

Day 3 Cayo District

Today is yours to explore the lodge and the surrounding area at leisure. The lodge is surrounded by some of the world’s most fascinating biodiversity, and you’ll find plenty of chances to spot amazing flora and fauna on the trails surrounding Chaa Creek. Your Travel Specialist can arrange day trips to explore local sights including waterfalls, Maya ruins, botanical gardens and mysterious caves.

Day 4 Cayo District

Another day for you to get the best of this vibrant area. We recommend taking a trip to see Caracol – Belize’s largest and most famous Maya site. Climb to the summit of its highest pyramid, towering 140-foot above the jungle, for amazing views. For a touch of adventure, go kayaking through the Barton Creek Cave system and explore the underground passages and geological formations.

Day 5 Cayo District – Ambergris Caye

Head to the airport and fly to Ambergris Caye. While here you’ll enjoy a six-night stay at the charming Victoria House. The hotel is a stylish seaside retreat, with luxuriously appointed villas, suites and casitas.

Day 6 Ambergris Caye

This is the perfect place for exploring Belize’s wonderful marine world. Nearby your hotel, the amazing Hol Chan Marine Reserve and Shark Ray Alley are waiting to be explored. Snorkel amongst nurse sharks and stingrays, and spot manatees and countless types of fish.

Day 7 Ambergris Caye

More world-class snorkelling can be enjoyed at Mexico Rocks, an area of patch reef home to technicolour coral and an array of wildlife. The waters here are relatively calm and shallow, offering outstanding visibility beneath the surface; keep an eye out for spiny lobsters, eels and butterfly fish.

Day 8 Ambergris Caye

The next few days are free for you to spend as you wish. Perhaps take a scuba diving excursion to the world-renowned Blue Hole. The largest of its kind in the world, this is a colossal sinkhole off Belize’s coast, measuring more than 300 metres wide and 125 metres deep. Famous marine explorer and conservationist Jacques Cousteau named this one of the greatest diving sites in the world.

Day 9 Ambergris Caye

Victoria House’s swimming pool has views over the Caribbean Sea. Take a dip, relax poolside, or head to hotel’s award-winning spa for some indulgence. This is the largest spa on Ambergris Caye, and its treatment menu lists a wide variety of treatments and therapies. Special packages for brides, honeymooners and mothers-to-be can be arranged, and there’s even a special menu for children under 12!

Day 10 Ambergris Caye

Victoria House is a great destination for a honeymoon; the hotel can arrange romantic experiences such as massages, picnics and dinners on the beach. Other activities to explore the local area include fishing, caving, yoga and exploring Maya ruins. Your Travel Specialist will be able to suggest a selection of excursions and activities to make the most of your final day on Ambergris Caye.
