The Whitney Hotel Boston

Full accommodation information

Looking for a calm stay away from the urban bustle of one of the USA’s most historic cities? Book the elegant Whitney Hotel in Beacon Hill, Boston, for simple sophistication, cultural comfort, and top hospitality.

The 65-room Whitney Hotel is nestled in the heart of historic Boston, in the quaint Beacon Hill neighbourhood.

Reflecting its beloved surrounds, The Whitney has kept faithful to its residential townhouse history: think sophisticated yet homely decor, generous hospitality, and a focus on comfort.

Feeling at home is key here, starting with a glass of sparkling wine to welcome you upon arrival. The hotel marks itself out as a haven from the city bustle: designed to reflect the history and European influences of its home in Beacon Hill, guests can expect reclaimed French oak floors, high ceilings, a luxurious fireplace - all with a dash of modernity, of course.

Near the lobby, you’ll find a tranquil interior courtyard space, which evokes a serene garden with its cosy seating, fire pit, seasonal plants and excess of light. Take some time out here to read a book or newspaper, or just people watch.

On-site restaurant Peregrine has quickly become one of the best places to eat in Boston, bringing the sunshine of southern Europe to the Eastern Seaboard with its carefully curated and seasonally-changing Italian menu. Relax in the lounge, take advantage of the impressive wine list, or nibble on some antipasti before dinner: tonight, you’re doing as the Italians do.

With attention paid to every detail, The Whitney Hotel is a charming welcome that befits your time in this wonderful city. With a boutique feel and a knowledgeable 24-hour concierge team on hand to help with whatever you need, you’re sure to feel right at home as soon as you step through the doors.

Explore Boston on two wheels on the hotel's complimentary bicycles and benefit from special savings at various boutiques and restaurants on Charles Street just by showing your hotel room key.

There are 65 rooms at this luxury hotel, all of which are comfortable and designed to ensure a pleasant and relaxing stay.  All king rooms sleep two people and are found on both the lower and higher-level floors. Peregrine

Peregrine

The Whitney Hotel offers the first hyper-local dining experience in Boston, and it’s packed with flavours straight from the Mediterranean.

Peregrine, the second restaurant from Joshua Lewin and Katrina Jazayeri, of Somerville’s much-loved Juliet restaurant, offers up the culture and cuisine of Sardinia, expertly melded with Catalonian, Corsican and Sicilian influences. There are options here: you can opt for upscale dining, or for a more relaxed evening with lighter bites and unique wines in the lounge.

The menu changes seasonally, offering dishes in the traditional pasta and secondi style. Antipasti and snacks are also available. You’ll find Peregrine in the hotel’s lobby.

The Whitney Hotel offers guests access to a fitness studio, and also runs additional fitness experiences with carefully selected partners.

The Beacon Hill neighbourhood that the hotel calls home is quaint and utterly picturesque; wandering its steep streets will take you back in time. If shopping is your prefered activity, you’ll want to check out the Passkey program that the hotel has with the boutiques along Charles Street.

Of course, you also have the historic city of Boston right on your doorstep. If you’ve never visited before, make sure you tick off the city’s most important sites along the Freedom Trail, then grab a local delicacy: a lobster roll for lunch on the go. The hotel can organise curated activities and excursions if you wish; just ask the concierge.
