Travel along Apache Trail through the Sonoran Desert, with exciting pitstops along the way for a closer look at the landmarks of Arizona’s history. Beginning with a pickup from Scottsdale, wind your way through the rugged terrain of Sonoran Desert, pausing to pan for gold in the ghost town of Goldfield, soak in the views of the Superstition Mountains and to take a six-mile cruise across the Canyon Lake. On the water, keep an eye out for bighorn sheep, bald eagles and any other desert animals passing by. Finally, head over to Tortilla Flat, a historical town settled on just one side of the road, defined by wooden shacks and the feisty American wild west spirit.
