The hotel is set in picturesque and peaceful surroundings directly on the Golden Circle touring route, with easy access to some of South Iceland’s most spectacular attractions such as Gulfoss Falls and the UNESCO-listed Thingvellir National Park.

The hotel comprises 89 accommodations ranging from Superior Rooms, Junior Suites and Luxury Apartments arranged in 11 chalet-style buildings. The Grimsborgir Restaurant is housed in the main building and serves a comprehensive menu of international and Icelandic dishes. During the summer months, dining is also possible on the outdoor terrace.

South Iceland is perfect for those looking for outdoor adventures and Hotel Grimsborgir is perfectly located to enjoy not only the outstanding natural beauty of Iceland but also to engage in exciting seasonal activities such as quad biking, glacier hiking, snowmobiling and witnessing the aurora borealis.

Studio Apartment

These apartments are the perfect choice for families or friends travelling in small groups, each featuring one double bedroom and one twin bedroom, a separate living room and kitchenette and either a private or shared outdoor hot tub.

Deluxe Apartment

The expansive deluxe apartments are 200 square metres in size and feature four bedrooms, a master bathroom and additional guest bathroom. The apartments also include a wrap around terrace complete with BBQ and private hot tub.

Junior Suite

The junior suites offer almost double the space of the superior rooms and are elegantly appointed. These junior suites offer a spacious seating area and outdoor terrace.

Superior Room

Spacious and light cottage style rooms with dark solid wood floors, modern en-suite bathroom and a comfy sofa.
