Combining an unforgettable whale watching excursion with lunch at the world class Hapuku Kitchen, this 3-hour tour is sure to dazzle you with its array of incredible highlights. Starting with a 30-minute helicopter flight off the coast of Kaikoura, you’ll go whale watching via the skies and enjoy commentary from a local marine biologist. Many species migrate through the area, including humpback and southern right whales among others. After marvelling at these magnificent creatures, return to Hapuku Kitchen for cooking class featuring fresh ingredients caught and foraged locally after which you can enjoy your creation for lunch. Then transfer back to Kaikoura via shuttle. On this tour, you’re joined by marine mammal biologist Dr Krista van der Linde to learn more about the area’s unique and diverse marine wildlife.
